Price is $549.99 - use coupon code TCLDOLBY15 to knock off 15%, bringing the price down to $467.49.

There's currently a frontpage post for the 65" version of this TV, but I'm posting separately in the event that others like me are looking specifically for the 55" version.

This is the 2019 6 series model. I purchased one for in-store pickup, but I'm a little on the fence. I will use this mostly for streaming TV and Movies, but also watch fair amount of sports and do some gaming on my OG Xbox One. I've heard that picture quality is among the best at this price point, but motion handling can be questionable.

I'm hoping this thread can spark some conversation that will sway me one way other the other.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Great deal. No convo needed here just go to rtings. There's no question this is pretty much a top contender in this price range.

Absolutely not. Owning both 55" versions, they're not that much different. I'd rather take a bigger TV for the same price.

On paper, the 625 looks a lot more impressive. I spent hours tweaking both TVs. They're pretty much identical in real world viewing with the 615 is a lot brighter while the 625 has better panel uniformity. But I don't know how much of that is from the panel lottery..

For those looking at this, you may want to also look at this very recently released Hisense (R8F). I'm not trying to push for it, I'm trying to compare the 2 myself. They seem very comparable, curious what others think.

The new R8F seems to be a step up from past R models though, at least from what I have read. https://www.techradar.com/reviews...hd-roku-tv.

I just bought this tv last night without the code. Do I just bring in receipt and show them my checkout price with the code on my phone?

From Past R Series yes.. But it is still a step below the H Series which competes with the TCL 6 Series

Will this be included in the upcoming firmware update to add variable refresh rate? That would make this even more awesome.

Nice. In for 1.

TCLs are slowly taking over my circa 2010 Panasonic Plasma TVs.

I saw a comment in the 65 inch thread that someone did this w/ no problem.

If they did refuse I'd just buy it again w/ the coupon code and then return it with your old receipt.

I just bought this tv last month for 150 more than this. The tv is a great tv, there is some motion blur, but this is a super deal imo.

update: Returning the original TV, and picking up the discounted one. Bestbuy did want the original TV back, remote, stand, and hdmi cable. Guess I'll be unboxing another one. Cool
