Great price if you want to enjoy the campaign (and don't have gamepass/ultimate). If you're not in hurry to play it, Gears titles nearly always drop VERY low after the first year or two, ($<5). Unless you're a hardcore lover of the MP gameplay or can't wait to scratch the campaign itch, I'd suggest waiting.

While they're playable, both are somewhat buggy (Invisible Berserker, Jack glitching and locking you out of side mission rewards, possible softlock of the entire campaign run if you backtrack too heavily, ranked tracking placing Onyx+ players in bronze and keeping them there, heavier gnasher inconsistency than ever before, the list goes on...). The monetization is almost that of a free-to-play title as well, which is also frustrating.

Hoping future title updates address a good chunk of these issues. In the meantime, wait it out unless you're really in the mood for a new Gears title.

This game must be straight trash to depreciate quicker than NBA 2K

This still get 4/5 ratings. So it can't be completely trash unlike Fallout 76...

Yeah there's truth to that at some sites (but fans like them still. Per BBY, 4.7 ratings out of 700. The sample size aren't likely to be paid reviewers at least in a smaller sample size with some % of marginal errors.

Bottom line, game look and run good at least. Not the worst nor broken as other games out there

I finished this game on Xbox Game Pass.. and while it has great art directions, animation, and graphics in general, the game is really boring. I mean, I don't even think it is worth the $15 here. I was pretty bored and it only got better towards the ending. They need to just leave Gears of War franchise alone, or at least if they continue it, make some really new game mechanics / gameplay. This is the same gears of war as always. Just my 2 cents for anyone on the fence here.

This is the trend that we are going to start to see with games releasing on Game Pass. People are not paying full price when they can "rent" the game on game pass. The same thing happened with Forza Horizon and Outer Worlds. By putting games on Game Pass, Microsoft is essentially devaluing the games.
