Update: Potential YMMV. You have to first add a $50 Amazon gift card to your cart then use the code 20GIFTCARD at checkout. Ignore the button on the page, it says the promotion has ended but it hasn't.

Using the workaround method you indicated, I received "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

I got the "Sorry this promotion has ended" error when I clicked through the link. But I added the $50 gc to cart & entered the promo code, it successfully applied for me.
