As your pads wear, your pistons in the brake calipers stick out further to make up for the wear. This means the fluid level in your Reservoir will go down as the fluid is now in your Pistons. Just because of level in your Reservoir goes down, does not mean you have a leak. It means your pads are wearing.

If the fluid is in the normal range in the reservoir, you do not need to add brake fluid. If you fill the reservoir that is down because of brake wear, it will overflow when they retract the Pistons to do a new brake job.

This is really the wrong place to seek car advice as this is filled with people trying to help who don't have enough actual knowledge.
Only DOT 5 fluid is silicone. This brake fluid can be used/mixed with DOT 3,4 or 5.1 synthetic or not.
If you are buying a large quantity and not planning on using it right away you are better off buying it in metal containers. Plastic containers allow moisture to seep in and that is not good for the brake fluid.

Is it advisable to just add the Brake Fluid if I see it low ?

My 2009 camry has 120k miles.

TIA.

It's fine, but check your brake pads for excessive wear and check the ground where you park for leaks as there is usually a reason the fluid is low.

Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't realize only Dot 5 Synthetic is Silicone based, my apologies. Not " Fake News" just early morning brain fog, didn't mean to trigger anyone, just made a mistake.

Thank you both for your replies.

During last oil change, the dealer suggested to replace brake pads and no, I haven't seen any leaks in my parking.

Dealer did ask me for 120k miles service which they said they'll drop off.

I really want to change pads and do some basic things myself, don't have parts and ramp.

Will get it sometime.

I agree. Brakes are a sealed fluid system. If it's "low" there's very likely a problem somewhere. Investigate it quickly before you brush it off and find yourself unable to stop.

Just remember, this is Synthetic, it should not be added to (mixed with) regular brake fluid. So this would be fine if you are draining and flushing your system, then starting new with all synthetic. Standard fluid is Glycol based, while synthetic is Silicone based.

Only DOT 5 fluid is silicone. This brake fluid can be used/mixed with DOT 3,4 or 5.1 synthetic or not.
