EDIT: Dropped to match BF price of $799

For those looking for 15", it's back to $849 again (dropped from $899) and includes free 2-day shipping. I can't do 17" form factor so the other EVOO doesn't work for me. As mentioned in previous EVOO threads, the extended warranty is cheap add-on for.

It hit this price previously: https://slickdeals.net/f/13717898-evoo-gaming-laptop-15-fhd-144hz-display-thx-spatial-audio-tuned-by-thx-display-9th-gen-intel-i7-9750h-nvidia-gtx-1660ti-512gb-ssd-16gb-for-849-fs

Lowest was $799 on BF.

Note: Yesterday, I ordered the 1650 version for $649 hoping they mistakenly ship me a 1660Ti. At $849 price, I'll hedge by bet and pay for the 1660Ti. Will return this if I get lucky on the 1650 order.

I don't know exactly what they're called, but I'm pretty sure EVOO is one of the companies that develops and manufactures the base machine for companies like iBuyPower, Origin PC etc. There are a few more manufacturers like that, and if you can trust the boutique PC companies then you can trust these guys too. Besides, 1660 Ti for $850? At that price i'd even buy from a half-decent brand and just go about fixing it myself if there's ever a problem

Here is a review of the 17": https://youtu.be/3qQFfGUNN2E

It's basically the same as the OP laptops, Eluktronics, etc., really decent for the price.

I have a really dumb question as I never buy a gaming laptop.
Thinking to upgrade my son laptop so he can use it for middle School work as well as play some games.

Can the expert here help to advise if I can buy this and then use window 10 and Microsoft office applications for work?

I just received the EVOO 1650 today and the laptop is solid. They display is nice, the keyboard and trackpad is much better than most laptops I've purchased. I will be returning it and getting this 1660ti as some of the games didn't work as well as I wanted and for a bit more I get double the storage and a better GPU.

Absolutely. If it can handle gaming it can definitely handle MS office and other regular programs.

Ouch.... I would suggest at least an i9 9880h 8 core CPU with an RTX 2080 for those tasks.
