BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Matrix Cordless Drill/Driver (BDCDMT120C)

This doesn't get down in this price range too often. I really like this for the add ons. Been using one for over the last 5 years, different model it appears. I have built a garage, a shed, and finished 2 basements and it has held up well.

Comes with a battery.

This is the model that accepts other components so you can switch out to other tools like a jigsaw or circular saw. The impact driver attachment for this is particularly nice.

I own two and use one for work (maintenance for apartment complex) and one for hobby at home. Working great for 5 years now. The bag to hold drill and attachments is cheap and very sturdy as well.

The one I keep in my car for work has saved the day for several people when I plug in the air pump attachment

also note that the bolt-on product line of attachments fit these as well

Moderate DIYer here and we've found the Matrix 20v system terrific. Even the ones that you don't think will be very useful like the circular saw attachment have come in handy from time to time. Being able switch out the drill and the driver modules is the best though, especially when you're drilling pilot holes for screws and stuff like that. Just keep the drill bit in the drill and the phillips bit in the driver and swap em out as needed.

If I didn't just buy a bunch of cordless Ryobi tools recently, I would be all over this deal as I was wanting a cordless handle. I currently have 3 corded versions (1 Craftman Bolt-On and 2 Blacker & Decker Matrix) and impact driver and circular saw attachments that I used with them. As Mikewastaken stated, this is quite useful for DIYers. I've used them for many projects around the house, like putting up rows of fence. It maybe hard to find but they also sell a kit for about $200 that comes with multiple attachments and a case.

Great price since it includes a battery. While the matrix is great for being able to swap out components, it's nice to have 2 or 3 of these drills with the components already attached. If I have the time and space, I will pull out two matrix drills, one with the driver and the other with drill, just so I don't have to keep swapping the components out. I realize it kind of defeats the purpose, but it's also nice that in the event that if one of the maxtrixes crap out, I have a backup. So in for a third Matrix body, and an extra battery. Smilie

I can attest to the good power/quality/convenience of the craftsman bolt-on/matrix product line. Been using my setup for 4+ years. Especially as a basic DIY homeowner "starter kit". I've used the sawzall, circular saw, tire pressure, jigsaw, drill and impact driver attachments with success. These will get the job done for a majority of small house projects. Anything more than that and you may want to buy into a dedicated tool for the job.

I used the corded version of the Matrix to build a 16'x20' deck last year. The corded one is a beast and loved it- for the price it can't be beat. I only have the drill and impact attachments, not the circular saw.

I just bought the deal posted on here a few weeks ago that was the battery powered Drill and Impact driver for $50...just saw it at my B&M Wal-Mart for $40 on clearance. I really like the matrix, but when drilling pilot holes then going to drilling screws it was nice keeping the bits in the attachment head and just switching out heads instead of loosening and tightening new bits.

$31.75 price was from May 2017

Has anyone seen the router or oscillating tool attachments on sale/clearance?

I've seen the others in Walmart for $5-10. Haven't seen the router/oscillating tool in any store.

Walmart still has the $40 for 4 power tools deal at many stores which has a lighter drill and impact driver combo which is better than this.
