Not bad, but I personally choose Seachem safe over this as I have multiple large tank
If you are spending this much on prime I'd highly recommend spending another $25 more S&S and get a lifetime supply of Safe. This 2 liter prime treats 20,000 gallons. 4 kg of safe I believe treats 960,000 gallons.

It's not a deal since it's been this price for over a month.

Anyone know how long shelf storage is? I use about half a liter every 6 months or so.

If you need this much, just buy the gallon. It's much cheaper per oz.

From the research I have done it seems that sulfur is a very stable substance. I purchased one of the gallon jugs in 2012 and just finished using it in September 2019. It smelled pretty much the same throughout the years and the only fish deaths I had were of old age, and none following a water change. (50% every week)

You'll be fine. I bought multiple 4 liter bottles of this stuff 10 years ago and just finished my last bottle recently. I use it after regenerating Purigen with bleach.

By the way, the 4 liter bottles are $69 at Amazon. It's a slightly better deal if you use a lot of it.

Seachem Safe is a good deal, I stick with prime as it is a liquid form and much easier to does smaller doses by the using the cap. Seachem safe does not have any stabilizers and cannot be premixed for long term storage. It is great for constant large volume water changes, but for me having many sizes aquariums and some water smaller water changes it's easier to just walk around to each pouring into the cap as recommended.

Thank you for sharing that Seachem safe deal

if you live in nyc (catskills watershed) just get a $15 chloramine filter stage,
https://www.amazon.com//dp/B0051VC7CW/
it lasts for years; no need for prime as i successfully breed shrimp without it.
