Since Miiverse was discontinued, many of the features such as commenting on levels have been removed. For this reason, and the more versatile tool palettes in the sequel. I recommend the sequel over this version.
Not as good but way cheaper. Its worth it for the premade levels alone at this price.
edit. as lparsons points out below me, it's also worth noting that the sequel doesn't exist on Wii u. if you want a Mario maker game and don't have a switch, this is your only option.
Any one else having this issue? It's happening on Firefox and Safari on desktop and Firefox on Android. It shows maybe 10 games and then "load more" but then when I click it, it loses the page's design and orients everything vertically and still only shows those 10 or so games.

It's an expansion. Generally, it contains this one, plus addition elements to build levels with, and a different online network. The old one's community felt less grief-y, to be honest.
