CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Well, think of it this way....someday he's gonna enjoy joking that "When I was four, my penis was so big and hard they had to medically shrink it." lol

I don't know if you all have a Publix...but you can get free antibiotics there. I got two weeks worth of Bactrim and Doxycicline for free...didn't have to fill out anything. They have a sign in the store advertising that so I dn't think it's just for people with no insurance.
No Publix. Frown I wish....and laugh out loud

My stomach hurts, I am stressed out, and I am just generally pissy.
I think I am going out of town this weekend.

With the family.
I will be over at my board tomorrow..I won't be at this one. I've pretty much had enough and need to not be for a day or 2. I will set my pm's to email so I can check them.

Sadwalk I hope you're not mad at me, Jenni. My comments in the teacher thread are more geared from the shit that the district my own kids attend have been facing. VERY. FRUSTRATING, as you're well aware of from me talking about it.

I think you and I are free to our own opinions - but we don't make it personal as some others do.

Mine really is from a shitty situation our own district is facing. I've been attending parent meeting for the past couple of months and am this close to yanking my kids and home schooling them. I'm not about to throw my kids into a germ pod with 104 students in the same confined spot.

Blah! If the jackass super would just start making cuts from the top I'm sure a lot more people would be happy. Is it necessary for the assistant to have an assistant that also needs an assistant?!?

I, obviously, don't have kids yet... but I work for a school district so I've kind of formed some opinions of my own.

Some teachers are great - others are royal, demanding pains in the ass. laugh out loud

I don't know about teacheres from the administrative point of view...but Elizabeth has had some great teachers...I mean really great ones...and then she had one in Second Grade is was the worst troll of a teacher I've ever met. She actually told her class that "You guys make me miss my class from last year and I thought they were horrible."...and that was one of the nicer things she said to them. She was everything a teacher should not be and I praaaay Christian doesn't get her when he goes into second grade.

Not just my dealing with them - but we had a strike earlier this year so everyone was well aware off their entire compensation. They got theirs bumped - the rest of the support staff got nothing due to that. Not even a COLA this year due to state budget cuts. Our teachers get paid quite well for the area but it's never good enough and the union's constantly throwing it's weight around in everything. Even closing the grade software for the year. Not one moment before their contract states - regardless that because of the strike it's so late in the year and will cause a domino effect of other problems.

I'm just really tired of the whining after this year. Who's truly under appreciated is the support staff in the same classroom with those same kids or more so - the ones in the special ed classrooms. Making a fraction of the pay of the teachers.

Yeah...I imagine there are some districts like yours that have lots of problems and upsets and others that everyone is more or less satisfied.
