First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.
Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing
The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.
Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.
The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

He has another game tonight and Wednesday. He had/has three games and two practices in a 6 day period!
You know, I think what I love most about watching my son on the baseball diamond? His entire persona and demeanor change the minute he steps on the field. Normally he is anxious and incredibly passive. But, when he hits the field he is very aggressive, has confidence, comes out of his shell, and is in his glory. It's like watching a totally different child. He is definitely most comfortable on a baseball field.
I hope he feels better today!

His dr appt is at 1:30. He keeps saying NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The deal went down like this: NO ONE told me they were taking blood until the lab lady showed up. She said she could probably get it from his finger. Cool. He tolerated that. He had several shots before preschool and one burned really bad so he is scared of needles.
FIVE minutes later (and I am not kidding) she comes back and says they ordered ANOTHER test and she has to get TWO tubes from his arm. She tried to bribe him with a bag of candy and stickers which he promptly threw in the floor. I held his little head so he'd have to look at me and not her or the blood. He cried. I wanted to cry, but managed to keep it together. I was on the phone with my mom when they came back and when I said she's taking some from his arm, she told me she was on her way. SO.....we waited and waited.
Finally the dr comes back and says they need to give him an antibiotic shot. I asked if there wasn't something orally he could have, and he said since the redness has spread just since we got there, he really needed the shot. They came with TWO. My dad had to step out. He was upset. I was starting to get upset because he was already starting to scream. (They brought FOUR people for this, so I am sure that was freaking him out, too)
My mom asked if I wanted to step out and she'd help. (It was a curtain, not a door). I do. I start bawling. The louder he screamed, the more tears came. Then I hear my mom say "That was just the alcohol swab, man"
