This is just what I was looking for and at a great price point but the reviews about the keyboard issues make me nervous.

Looking at mine now; Chicony Power Technology. 19.5v output 11.8a 230 watt. I got this laptop about two months ago when it was this price. Amazing price for this laptop. Well worth it. Two m.2 slots inside + 1 2.5" hdd. I have, in mine, 2 1tb m.2's and 1 2tb 2.5". Laptop is very strong/durable. I can't recommend it enough!
What do you think of the keyboard

I have owned this for a week and some info to save people time.
The machine will run with 2x 32gb ram sticks for a total of 64gb of ram. I pulled the original 1tb m.2 ssd for a 2 matching samsung nvme 512gb drives. If you remove the 2.5" hard drive cage you can put in a bigger 62whr battery that eluktronics sells. I opted to use my maxoak powerbank instead which is about the same price as the extended battery but gives me a good 10+ hours of use on the go. The laptop is very close to a standard 15.6" laptop frame size so it fits in my timbuk2 backpack that isn't meant for 17" laptops.

The case itself is a metal lid and plastic body. The body is a very strong plastic as it has the same or less flex as my thinkpad P50. For what you get the machine can't be beat.

Don't buy this then, battery life will not hold up for that usage. You need an Aero 15, Predator Triton 500, etc, with big batteries to use unplugged for 5+ hours. Not gonna get that with these small battery, big power needs laptops.
Appreciate it man. I would probably only be gaming when nearby a power outlet/power source for whichever laptop I get, but yea streaming movies/listening to music on a connected bluetooth speaker will be something I'll be doing a lot, without the laptop being plugged in probably...this one isn't the one for me if that's the case?

Unfortunately that series by Dell is absolutely choked by terrible thermals. Personally having tested the 1660ti version not even a repaste can get the CPU under 96 c under load.
You could just put it in a fan

EVOO - Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This laptop should be oily enough for the extra virgins that will use this gaming laptop.

I am gonna get downvoted for this by the "specs are everything people," but whenever I purchased off brand laptops, it always caused a problem one way or another.

With a more reputable brand, your a $100-$200 premium goes to tons of R&D, and better industrial design and better engineering capabilities. Something to consider.
Like Lenovo? Oh wait, they've gone to garbage. T540p was awesome til Spectre/Meltdown crippled it, Y520 has been nothing but issues, and same with P53s.

u mean the engineering that china borrowed from industrial leaders... this may be just as good as dell stuff because it was borrowed from dell.
