Seems like they went to 4 issues a year instead of 11...when did that happen?

i think their time was over long time ago.. when internet became popular i stopped reading this magazine. i tried subscribing to them again couple years ago, and seems like they just copy random posts from different science/technology websites and thats it. and of course 40% of all pages are stupid ads

I just subscribed to Popular Science during the Christmas sale. I received my first issue last week, it was the old Winter issue that had been on newstands for a while, and on the label, it shows that my subscription ends in Summer of 2020. Two days later, I received the very old Fall 2019 issue. Neither one of them are like the old Popular Science magazines that I remember, where new cutting edge info was shared in the articles. Now each issue is a theme, like Sound, where they give only an overview of old information on the subject. My autorenewal occurs in December, what happens then? I miss the regular release schedule of next fall and winter and I get two old issues again? Cancel the auto renew and buy a renewal now to make sure I get next Fall and Winter on time? No thank you. Vote with your wallet.

I had a problem last time. Took a call in to finally get my first subscription, then every magazine after that was very sporadic... 1 month or 2 month gaps between. Not even sure I received my full subscription but just gave up on it

Receiving subscriptions - it happened only once out of like 30+.

However they can screw you out of a Discount Lock. That lock has caveats that they can break it whenever they want. Pretty shitty when they do that and when I remember about it - I don't buy magazines. But otherwise they're not bad.
