This is a pretty great deal for $850, considering that its an (almost) fully kitted system. Wonder why it's getting downvoted though.

Probably because of the timbre matching or lack thereof between LCR...that'd be my guess anyway.

The Synergy series was discontinued a long time ago and there is no info at all to be found about the f-300.

Anyone know that the difference is between the "F" here and "R" or "RF" speakers? (My next will probably be RP-8060FAs... but because I like Klipsch I'm just curious about the models.)

Now whether any of these assumptions affect how they sound to anyone is completely subjective. You have people in here all the time intermixing brands and models and find it works to them. It all comes down what you think when listening.

The downvoting usually comes from many on here that have a problem, enough to complain on how your money is distributed when buying from these post, especially when it comes from Adorama!!!!

They clearly don't read what's usually posted right under every post:

"If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale." Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Basically:
F=older discounted model
R=Reference(their entry level)
RP=Reference Premiere
RF=Flagship Reference

Interesting. So R->RF->RP? Because I know my RF-82iis aren't as good as the RP floor standing speakers.

Well technically Klipsch has them in line as I listed them.
I would point out that what you "know" will only apply to you because many will argue the other way around.
You would both be right .....to yourselves .....which is all that really matters.

Well, I suppose if you argue "good" based solely on pricetag the RP would be over RF. I got both of my RFs for about half of a USED RP.

Well there are many many factors that go into what is "good" when it comes to hearing.

I would say that price tag is not a good indicator and actually the best is your ears IMO.

I would argue that something quantifiable and objective (quality of craftsmanship, materials, etc.) is what makes it good, as opposed to something subjective. Preferred doesn't mean better. Having said that, my RP center definitely sounds better to me. It's less "bright" and fatiguing.

Pricetag is, however, absolutely an indicator as to the quality level intended by the manufacturer. This is why an S-Class costs more than a C-Class.

Lol that's kinda funny because you just proved my point.

So if "Pricetag is, however, absolutely an indicator as to the quality level" and " (quality of craftsmanship, materials, etc.) is what makes it good, as opposed to something subjective"

Then why would you say "my RP center definitely sounds better to me" ?

So begs the question, who is right you or what the Manufacturer/reviewer/opinion/price tag wrote down?

That's the unique thing about sound unlike you car analogy, what you hear is completely subjective. There are VAST to many variables for you to go by what you read. Even then if you look inside you are still just influencing your opinion.

Just look at what you just said that price, quality of craftsmanship, materials, etc all matter which you read somewhere but you still going against it based on what you hear.

Ultimately what you read really doesn't do much to tell you what sounds good you, you listening for yourself can only do that IMO.
