Would it be worthwhile to purchase the 35mm 1.8 and get a lens converter (not the manual one) for a Sony E mount? Are the substantial drawbacks to this? I have seen the lens converters for less than $100 on the used market, and so this would make a pretty good deal, allowing future expansion.

I don't think there is a ton of value to that... the Nikon lens isn't some special 35mm. I'd stick with native glass unless there is some special lens you want.

No, the cheapest AF adapter is the commlite for $200 unless you want MF. AF is spotty and len's compatibility is hit or miss. Not really worth the trouble when native Sony/Sigma/Tamron/Samyang selections at there rival and exceed most of Nikon's glass now. Sony GM and Sigma ART lenses are some of the best in the market while Tamron and Samyang offer excellent entry to mid level value lenses. Native will allow you to shoot with full potential for your body such as FPS and AFS-C eye focus. Unless you already have a huge collection of Nikon glass, don't buy a system just to adapt lenses from another system.

After spot-checking a handful of them, I believe Amazon is price matching Adorama (or all authorized Nikon dealers are running the same pricing). The difference is Adorama might be pairing theirs with a "Free Accessory Bundle".

Hmm, contemplating the 10-20mm for a family trip to Yellowstone this year. Anyone use this WA lens for family trips to national parks? Currently using a D7500 with an 18-140 and wondering if I'll get better shots with the 10-20mm. Any experience with the above let me know.

I'm interested in the 50mm 1.8 lens, but looks like it comes up at a lower price on past recent deals. Think I'll wait for a better deal.

If i can suggest you to buy used. I recently sold my D5600 + 50mm f1.8g for $480 , and the 50mm typically sells used [good condition from local sellers for $80 *thats how much i paid* excludes the filter kit and software set]

Good idea, but where do you usually buy the used ones from? After months of watching Craigslist, I never found a good deal on lenses there, at least in my city.

Really want the 35 mm. Anyone see it go any lower. Don't want to wait, may have to get this.
