Getting ready for 25 comments asking if this has a second RAM slot...

I will save you all the hassle, it does NOT have a second slot for RAM. RAM is single channel/slot only.

Just got one from last fp deal. Nice little laptop. Lightweight and fairly fast for ryzen 3 and 4gb ram. No bloatware at all have 90 gb free on hard drive after windows. This is the link for memory from last fp deal.

Don't know why people are claiming otherwise, but I DO use this laptop with dual monitor output via the USB-C to a Dell D3100 docking station. I don't use it for gaming though (not sure if that matters).
That dock uses displaylink which has it's own graphics chipset, it's not passing through the video signal from the laptop as a simple converter if the USB-C natively supported video output.

Can this version be upgraded to a 16gb of ram? I keep seeing the Ryzen 5 version being upgraded to 16gb but everyone just mentions 8gb for the Ryzen 3 ram upgrade.

I use a Lenovo Helix at work with a third gen i5, 4 GB of RAM, with a SDD on Win 10. It works fine and has always worked fine for doing basic stuff. Sure, if you're going to open Photoshop, Chrome with 20 tabs, and run a 20 worksheet Excel file, it'll slow down. But, if you have a few normal things open including about 10 tabs in Chrome, I've never had a problem with it.

You don't always need 8 GB+ of RAM.

Yes, it can even take 32GB in a single memory module. The R3 version has all the same upgrade capabilities as the R5 version.

Wow, I wasn't aware of that. I think 16gb should be more than enough. Thanks.

Youre right, I got this laptop to do some programming and I usually have multiple tabs open, I think 16gb is more than enough though.

Ordered one but here's an odd question maybe someone can help me with...does it seem like it would be easy to remove the logos? Like on the top?

That's a great question! The logos on the screen area looks hideous!

Its super easy to remove. Part of a letter actually fell off when i accidentally touched it agaisnt the box. I then slowly peeled the whole letter off leaving no residue. I returned the laptop though... with 1 letter missing hah

Anyone put thermal pads between the bottom cover and CPU heatpipe, SSDs, and RAM? What thickness pads did you use? Would 1.5mm be thick enough?
is the chassis made of metal?
