I have V1 and my cable has been fine.

V2, the 3.5 to dual 3.5 cable
The earpads & the leather headband wore out on me though. I bought some replacement Dekoni sheepskin earpads, and they're highly comfortable and the bass response was improved.
Now, if you're looking for a soundstage that recreates a concert hall or something of that nature as oppose to the, for a lack of better phrase, shorter distance of the 400's series then maybe it would make more sense.
That being said though, I really did enjoy my 560's for a good moment, but it wasn't great for even half of what I listen to

Have plenty of non-headphone systems already.

I think at 150ish the 880's are worth?

If you consider the 400i to be the "shorter" soundstage, then these things must be incredible. What music do you feel the 560's did well at and what did they leave you lacking with?
I listened to a lot of instrumentals with it and enjoyed that, but things with vocals annoyed me for some reason.
