Is yours V1 or V2?

I have V1 and my cable has been fine.

I read about the build quality issues on the lower end Hifimans. Do these have those issues too?

I've had my HE-400i for a couple years now, and I quite enjoy them. Not quite audio nirvana, but I don't think I'd would be perfectly satisfied by anything other than a pair of Stax electrostats.

The earpads & the leather headband wore out on me though. I bought some replacement Dekoni sheepskin earpads, and they're highly comfortable and the bass response was improved.

My issue with the 560 is that in terms of sound it wasnt a big enough improvement over the 400i and 4XX to constitute almost 2x the price.

Now, if you're looking for a soundstage that recreates a concert hall or something of that nature as oppose to the, for a lack of better phrase, shorter distance of the 400's series then maybe it would make more sense.

That being said though, I really did enjoy my 560's for a good moment, but it wasn't great for even half of what I listen to

What would you recommend for widest soundstage slightly forward sounding for around $150?

Have plenty of non-headphone systems already.

Not a professional by any means nor have I tested a wide selection of headphones, but I did really enjoy my DT 770's at 80 ohms. I tried a friend's DT880's at 250 ohms and I think the soundstage on that one was wider.

I think at 150ish the 880's are worth?

If you consider the 400i to be the "shorter" soundstage, then these things must be incredible. What music do you feel the 560's did well at and what did they leave you lacking with?

so if the 400i is you standing in front of an orchestra, the 560 is like sitting in the middle of an auditorium facing the orchestra...

I listened to a lot of instrumentals with it and enjoyed that, but things with vocals annoyed me for some reason.
