Does something having been cheaper at some point somehow preclude it from being a slickdeal again unless it's back down to that price?

I bought it at the $425, and even at $500 I would not hesitate to recommend the TV set. It's still a great value.

Any thoughts on this model compared to its 2019 variant? A friend is interested in the 2019 TCL model and this is a couple hundred dollars less expensive.



This particular model is from 2018. 2019 models will likely have discounts in the next few months when 2020 models are released.

Great value per $ on this TV. The 2019 models should be getting VRR and eArc added via firmware update this Spring so if those features are important to you then maybe consider the 65R625. Otherwise can't go wrong with this set.

I bought that recent android 65" hisense for $385 first then picked this one up for $465 and it is totally worth it. The hisense picture was good but android was busted, returned it and got this one. The panel and features on this TCL are iust incredible. Compared this to the 2019 - 625 model on rtings.com many go with this 2018 - 615 considering the value and performance.

Yes very cheap, I paid $650for it in July and bought another one a month ago for $450. Great TV. FYI I am including taxes in my total.

Cheapest I have seen it recently was $1100 I believe. This was for the 6 series. Other models can be had cheaper.

Costco has the 65R613 [costco.com] for the same price.. only through Feb 1. Not sure if there's any real difference between the 615 and 613.
