This seems to be a good option for those of us to want to dip their toes into making homemade pizza. I am by no means an expert, but reviews look good and this seems to be a low price according to a certain Amazon price tracking website...

Steel has significantly lower thermal conductivity than aluminum which is good for baking in this case. Also, since you heat the oven up with this in there the pizza will make contact with a surface that's already hot instead of a surface that is heating up with the pizza.

I have a cast iron pizza pan, which in my opinion is better than this pan but double the price. That being said, this is going to produce a way better pizza than a traditional aluminum pizza pan and isn't as fragile as a ceramic pizza stone, if that's a concern, so it's a good buy at this price point.

I paid $25 each. In theory you would buy 2 and one pizza goes on rack and the other above it. Gets nice and crisy when cooking at 500. Cheaper than buying a $200 outdoor pizza oven..

according to reviews this is even less thick than 1/4 inch, which doesn't do much more for conducting heat than just leaving a pan in the oven for a bit. good for the price, but you won't get the same quality result from something a bit thicker.

i am so tempted but i want to buy one of these and be done with it. don't know if i want to give this a try just to have to ship it back if it doesn't work out. too bulky.
