Since the death of Sony Vue a few days ago I started a free trial of Fubo.

Pro: Punchy video, appears less processed than Vue. No repeated 3-in-a-row goofy PSAs as on Vue.

Minus: I can't get the same channel set as Vue. Too many missing channels. An odd quirk where an Under Armor TV ad is 6X the loudness of everything else. It made the toddler cry the first time, and since, I need to be ready to mute. It is off the scale. If I am quick enough to adjust the volume lower to a normal level during this commercial, everything that comes next cannot be heard.

Anyway, switching again to sluggish Sling as it has a closer match to wanted channels.

Been on YouTubeTV for more than 2 years now, will never go back to cable. Streaming blows cable out of the water. Unlimited DVR is simply the best feature.

Damn this is kind of insane (in my opinion)...I tried two fairly "big/seemingly popular" zip codes in New York & New Jersey and it's not available. Second serious downfall is:
"International travel
You can't access any programs on YouTube TV while traveling internationally. "
That may only be problematic for a small group of people but still...and sure, VPN and all that but I don't want yet another recurring charge :/

Has anyone figured out a way around these things? Is this the same service or similar to YT Premium & Music - as in, will this give me access to those as well?

May I ask where you're located? I can't find it in a few zip codes in NY & NJ. I'm sure it's not better than full fledged Verizon Fios but I'm also sure that the price is far better.

Too bad this didn't come out yesterday. I just signed up for 5 day trial yesterday. So far YouTubeTV sucks compared to Playstation.Vue, but it seems to be the best of what is out there right now

Sucks sony ditched vue like most things. They thought fans would pay for vue but not at that price and at start they was so greedy in price compared to others. Like vita they stopped trying and ditched it.

Which zip code did you put down? It still doesn't resolve the international part but maybe I'll give it a try.

11215. It says it's available nationwide. Can't believe it would exclude any part of nyc

Personal opinion: I loved YouTube TV. I used it almost exclusively on my Roku and it was intuitive, streamed perfectly, I had no issues with it at all other than the cost was higher then I could justify paying.

I have sling on a trial right now, I've had it a couple of times before. on my computer the interface seems fine, but I want to scream every single time I watch it on my Roku TV. The guide sucks the interface sucks I have constant streaming issues and it basically makes me crazy.

The DVR recordings may be unlimited in terms of space size, but you're only able to keep the recorded content for 9 months from the recorded date.
