YMMV - Costco Members - iFLY two flight program plus flight video $39.99

I saw this at Costco in Columbia, Maryland today. It's $10 off their normal price, good though March 1st, 2020. I didn't see it posted on the Costco website, so YMMV.

Of note, the package is valid for just one person (though you can buy multiple packages for multiple people).

Anyone know if you can buy like a bunch of these at once and then book a large group of 6 - 8 people as if it were a party?

Is there a limit to number you can use at once?

Also isn't a normal flight like 2 minutes long?

This is an excellent deal. Not only is it fun, but it is also educational, in terms of positioning and air flow.

A "flight" is one minute of tunnel time. Two minutes would be the minimum that a person would want.

This package is a good deal for first time fliers. Typically the rate is $25 to $30 per minute for a new flier and the video is $5+. Keep in mind there are all sorts of upcharges if you want them, such as a full helmet instead of a partial helmet and goggles or a high flight.

Once you fly you can buy a return voucher, which is about half the price of the new flight cost. The return flight has to be purchased that day but can be used any time.

Yes thanks done this before in Virginia. Does this offer include helmet? Or just basic equipment?

There is also some upcoming Valentine's day offer I got via email

FYI, you can usually find better deals on Groupon. A couple years ago me and the wife did this for about $50-60 bucks total for both of us.

I just did this in Denver. Here is the situation...
Prices vary by location. For instance, Denver is cheaper (older smaller tunnel), Scottsdale is more expensive.
You get all the safety equipment, outfits, you need. Helmet, goggles, ear plugs, etc. They don't try to up sell you equipment.
High flight is $15 more. It's expensive. Worth doing once if $15 isn't going to make you broke... But if you are poor, you probably should be not spending money for ifly at all
We used it for a family group of six as an Xmas gift. Took my 10 & 5 yr olds, grandpa, mom, aunt. It was fun and worth the family experience. Especially for the kids. Not something I'll do often. Great for work events, or random fun things with buds, maybe once every few years.

Did this once on a work event. Wasn't too impressed. Lots of waiting around for a couple of super short "flights" that weren't too productive given it was my first try.

I can see why it would be useful for training sky divers, but for the rest of us, 5 minutes on a trampoline is probably more fun.

They provide all the safety equipments ( jumpsuit, helmet, goggles, ear plugs, and I think shoes too).

When you book, you select what day/time you want. I'd imagine you can just book everyone for the same time slot. I can't remember how many people per 30 min time slot, but our group had 6 ppl.

If you're planning on bringing 6-8 ppl there, buying these vouchers will be a bit expensive. You'll be paying $240 to $320 for 12 to 16 minutes of flight.

If you don't care about the video part just buy return vouchers (you can just have someone take video of you from the side since they don't really care if you do)

iFly (at least the one at my location) sells return vouchers (10 min for $100). Each 10 min voucher is shareable up to 5 ppl (but must be used in one session).

Buy one of these costco vouchers, go a few weeks before hand and buy two of the return vouchers after you're done with you're flight. 22 minutes total for $240.

of course check with your local iFLY. I haven't been to enough of these to know if it's the same rules everywhere.

nice hack, but arent the return vouchers only good for the people truly returning? like if i go, but then bring 7 kids who have never been there, can it still apply for them?

also, the problem is the ifly closest to me is like 1 hr (2 hr round trip) Away, so there is the personal time aspect as well.

It says "return voucher" but it's really just a piece of paper with a voucher code. There's no name(s) tied to it. The conditions online do say that you need to have flown at least once within the past year to book return vouchers, but I asked the guy at the counter before I purchased and he said that they don't really care (best to check with your local store). They still ask you to go through the basic training stuff as a refresher on what to do, not to do, and what the hand signals mean.

But if it's that far away for you, perhaps it's not worth your time to go that route. Either way, if you're getting flights and return vouchers are not an option, I still think this package isn't the way to go. This package is YMMV. It's also only 20% off regular price ($40, normally $50)

You're better off buying gift cards, which is 30% off.

It gives you way more flexibility. You can use it to book together as a group.. and the $50 package they have up there includes both picture and video

$49.95 per person

2 Flights per person
Flight Gear Rental
Pre-Flight Training
One-on-One Flight Instruction
Personalized Progress Feedback
Flight Photo of each flyer
Flight Video of each flyer
