For what it's worth, if you're just starting out with your tool kit, here's what I'd prioritize (YMMV, of course; I don't do a lot of sanding & finishing, for example):
1. Batteries (always own at least one more than the number of tools you typically have out at once—for me that means at least six, for others it might mean two or three).
2. Impact driver. I can't believe I used a drill for screwing things for so many years...
3. Drill.
4. Circular saw.
5. Light. I like the big LED, but the smaller flashlights are actually pretty good, and cheap second-hand.
6. Reciprocating saw.
7. Miter saw. Honestly, my blue Ryobi TS1342 has probably been the best tool I've ever owned in terms of convenience to portability and how often it gets used. When I do a project I often only need to make a few cuts, and it's sooo handy to bring this guy with one hand to wherever I'm working and just swap in the same battery as everything else.
8. Radio. I have the P742. It doesn't do any wonders for quality or radio reception, but it's plenty loud for me, super portable, and can charge my phone in a pinch.
9. Brad nailer. Amazing how often this gets used even just to hold things in place.
10. I could go on...
OK, I rambled. Sorry. You didn't ask for that. Buy some batteries.

There is no return on that deal iirc.

You can still abuse the battery return on this deal. That deal is never coming back because it was actually someone at home Depot fat fingered while entering the sale and accidentally made it amazing.
What Were people doing, returning drill without batteries for credit?
