Check previous recent posts on this. Good machine but cleared out at better prices at many locations.

BBC123 is right...It has been much less, but that's because it was being clearanced from Walmart. Not many stores had it in stock, however, so it was a big YMMV.

They must have realized there was some interest in it because when I look at my local stores now, they all have it in stock and they're all $599.

If this was Windows 10 Pro, I'd be more interested. Still not a bad deal at all. Some good things:
  • 1 8GB stick -- this is awesome if there are more RAM slots available
  • 4 USB 3.1 ports and a 3.1 Type C port
  • NVMe M.2 for the SSD
  • Wifi is a/b/g/n/ac
Cons are the Win 10 Home (vs Pro), BT 4.2 (vs 5.0), and single HDMI (no display ports). Also, it doesn't say gigabit ethernet, but I assume that's the case.

No idea what kind of PS or MB this has, so no telling what the upgrade potential is. If this was $499 or less, I'd bite

Guaranteed walmart employees buy it because they have a horrible job and try to make the most out of it.

I think this should be much better.

Sometimes 6 month old deals are much better which is why you need to watch out for bad deals like the hp.

it has a second slot to upgrade ram and MB can support 32G total (2x 16 sticks)

Would love to see a teardown of this system to see what cooling it has.

That's interesting.... The description says it has a DisplayPort, but if you look at the back and front, there is no DisplayPort.

true you might get 10+ more fps but people say the skytech cpu and motherboard allow you to upgrade the cpu more than the cheap hp motherboard that people say isn't as upgradeable.
But you should definitely be getting this pc for less than 500 at least since that was the black frday price. The problem is walmart employees hide them and wait to buy themselves when the pc hits $100. I don't blame them because they're treated horribly.
And judging from your posts, you seem to be trying to convincing yourself you got a good deal. I'm just saying at least get it for $500 or less.
