I guess you could say that about every laptop on sale right now

it'll probably be a while before it'll be adopted everywhere though, so I don't think people should necessarily wait for it

What is wrong with lenovo? When they provide good config, they omit an important part. Now that the deal is good, they added a mediocre 36Whr battery. This should have been with normal 52Whr that comes with s340.

4GB is soldered, you can swap the other 4GB with 8 or 16GB, make it total of 12 or 20GB.

Can we buy an OEM battery? Should be able to cheaply, no?

I know nothing about laptops/PCs (besides knowing that I want one for high-end gaming) and this is an i7 quad core processor...that seems pretty great, no?

Just bought this a week ago. So far so good. Battery life is between 4 and 5 hours. Plenty for what I need it for.

The Iris integrated card is going to be pretty miserable with most AAA games. You'd be better off getting an i5 with a legit graphics card if you want decent gaming performance. For example, something like the Asus TUF FX505DT, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1, should blow the s340 out of the water for gaming even though it only has an i5 equivalent.

If you want it for gaming I'd look elsewhere. This has an Ok integrated gpu (Intel's new Iris graphics), but it won't be a high end gaming machine by and means. You need a discrete GPU like a 1650 or above.

Will need a dedicated graphics card, not onboard like this laptop has. Everything else is good spec wise.

Wanting to get something like this but much cheaper for my old Mom. The nice screen and touchscreen are tempting though for the price.

Have been thinking about getting a used Chromebook with a touchscreen... all she needs is YouTube and Facebook really. Have any thoughts? Kinda overwhelmed by my options. I could get something used for $50-100 off of ebay easily, but it may not have a touch-screen. Just would be a basic Chromebook.
