It's craftsman most all is made in China
The days of Craftsman being made in America have long gone, you'll have to find a pretty old set for it to have been made in the States. This is a good deal regardless, though. There still plenty durable and sockets come with a life time warranty.
It doesn't come with a ratchet because it's meant for an impact... and no it doesn't come with an impact

Forgot to mention you probably can get 5% off on top of this using a Sears card but I had to check it out through Kmart.com it may have just been an issue with the cart since I was doing it on an iPad.

I bought a 1/2 impact wrench that I never ended up getting the sockets for. Can anyone provide a recommendation for a good 1/2 impact socket set at a good price?

I'm going to have to do some car work when the weather warms up and i'm hoping this makes my life slightly easier.

Pittsburgh 1/2 deep impact socket set from HF. Get the chromoly variant not the chrome vanadium.

Black, so when I lose the socket under the car I have no chance of finding it.

What's the benefit? I have the chrovanadium and it works fine for $20.

Edit: nvm looked it up myself. Moly is stronger and therefore it can be made thinner? If it's significantly thinner, I can see that being a lifesaver in certain situations

Could check and see if the Craftsman Evolv set I posted a few days ago is still available if you live near a sears or hometown https://www.sears.com/craftsman-e...ockType=G1

Could also use these and a reducer A 1/2 to 3/8 reducer is only a few $, not ideal but you'd get more types of sockets.

Otherwise Pittsburgh from Harbor Freight.

Impact sockets are made that way so the chrome plating doesn't sheer off, and they're often a different alloy that is less hard so they don't explode on an impact gun.

I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking about these following 2 sets... but may wait for something better. Ideally I only really need a metric set.

It looks like this set does not include a ratchet, can anyone confirm whether I'd need to purchase a one separately?
