This is a different configuration than previous deal because this one has the fingerprint reader (previous ones didn't).
First post ever, teach me if I did something wrong... Shoutout to iconian since I used his template. My apologies I submitted this on mobile at first, it looked hideous..

Nowhere, this was a lucky find... Slickdeals is my go to website for deals, I felt not only compelled but obligated to give back to the community the one time I found something worth posting...
1. Yes it does, for a total of 2 RAM slots, my original post had this information towards the bottom, but the SD moderator that pushed this to FP (thanks?) posted a heavily edited version that lacks this info, sorry about that.
2. It's a matter of preference, I like the heavy feeling, it's got a premium feeling to it because of the size and materials. But yes, a lot of people I know prefer lighter laptops.
3. Yes, Ryzen 4000 series is coming out, but look at of the original price of this Ryzen 3000 machines, they are not cheap, and when they launch, the price of such laptops (with Ryzen 4000) will be through the roof. It's the never ending cycle, the previous generation goes on clearance and customers who don't mind getting an slightly outdated machine are in a WIN situation with the discounts.
Seems like a great price for multitasking laptop capable for non-GPu intensive games. 720-1080p gaming (depending on games) thanks to that vega 10 iGPU. And it already has a NVME drive in it with space for ram and storage upgrades. Can't beat this price.

This is great deal. I keep holding for a similar configuration but need just one Thunderbolt port.

Yeah, same price, I actually got the Costco one because it had the fingerprint reader vs the configuration available at that moment from Dell that didn't have it. The Costco one is gone now, so this evens out the sweetness of the deal minus the extra year of warranty and customer service from Costco, Dell only provides 1 year of warranty, in my opinion it should be good enough.

Will there be any possibility of stacking employee discount on top of this coupon? I may have to ring my friend to get one code though.

Thoughts on this vs the Lenovo L380? Looking for decent build quality and expandable RAM. Touchscreen not necessary...won't be gaming. Will be using it for personal software development work. It will mostly sit at my desk and occasionally take it outside the house, so weight isn't a big factor. I haven't followed all the new chips that have come out all these years...Thanks.

Wow. This has everything besides 16GB ram, and even then, it's easily upgradable.

Yes the employee 17% discount code stacks on any purchase assuming it is for the right department.

The 4 departments are Home, Business, Outlet, and Entertainment.

So you just have to make sure you find which department this is listed in (on this deal Home) and then use the corresponding code.

Thumbs up OP. and I hate you.

Just for clarity after the mods edited my post, this configuration has a Fingerprint reader, previous deal didn't have one, and it is the same price, so if a Fingerprint reader sweetens the deal for you, there you go.

Hmm I won't rest easy knowing this was available at Costco. I'll wait for the next deal! Plus, I'd need to find a way to unload the older laptop lol
