This is a different configuration than previous deal because this one has the fingerprint reader (previous ones didn't).

2. It's a matter of preference, I like the heavy feeling, it's got a premium feeling to it because of the size and materials. But yes, a lot of people I know prefer lighter laptops.
3. Yes, Ryzen 4000 series is coming out, but look at of the original price of this Ryzen 3000 machines, they are not cheap, and when they launch, the price of such laptops (with Ryzen 4000) will be through the roof. It's the never ending cycle, the previous generation goes on clearance and customers who don't mind getting an slightly outdated machine are in a WIN situation with the discounts.
