Not as great a deal as the one posted a few days ago, but still pretty good nonetheless

Is this worth getting over a newer GPU, like maybe a GTX 1650/Super?

not too different in perf. if youre on budget and dont mind scaling down on graphics slightly and price difference is big enough. too many variables for others to tell ya.

they're both mid low range cards so

I recently bought a GTX 1070 SC 8GB for $150 on eBay. Twice the card for +$30.

It doesn't really Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) and comes off like a brag. It looks like used 1070's at auction are typically selling for around $180 - $200 give or take. I did see one went for only $152 so maybe he snagged an outlier.

I'll make his intended point for him. If one is willing to brave the waters of eBay for a used card, then one can get more card for their money than buying new. If you are a diligent buyer and know eBay's policies and procedures you are very unlikely to get ripped off by buying a "lemon." If a card isn't fully functional when received, you have the right to return it at the seller's cost, regardless of what the seller says in their description.

If you have a $110ish budget and want a brand new card, a 4GB RX570 such as the one in this deal is your best bet at the moment.

It is closer to a RX 580 in performance if you want to checkout some YouTube benchmark videos. I would rather get a 1650 super myself over this. Personally, I would rather get a used 570 on eBay in the $70 range than spend $120 new.

AMD has got to do something to increase the competition in video cards. These have been around this price for months.

I'm guessing that they're still the budget king, though?

One thing a particular model of 570 card has going for it, also on sale at Newegg for $109, is this one with an ITX form factor and a six pin power connector, using <150W. Many 570's require an 8 pin and can pull up to 200+W under load. Even on cards rated at 150W by the manufacturer.

Beautiful card for some of those prebuilt machines that have proprietary or small power supplies. My newer HP desktop with a 3700x has a 6 pin proprietary connector and a smaller case. While the 1650 is a better card at a lower W level, I can't find it under 150 and with tax its 170-something. In the meanwhile, the 570 can do pretty much everything at 1080, quite a bit at 1440 and even rolls a few 4k titles.

Its also a 'blower' model, but after checking out reviews, seems its as overclockable as most 570's. The blower fan pushes hot air out of the back of the card and outside the case. Nice as this machine has poor case ventilation and without a drill and a metal saw, that's not going to improve.

$10 off promo code, no rebate. Many of the cards in this range at NE required a rebate.

It is way better in terms of performance per watt since it performs close to the RX570 at like half the electricity usage.

But it is not a better card performance wise. The RX570 4gb has a small edge over the GTX1650 in almost all games.

We can't deny that the GTX 1650 is a tempting choice for a super-small and power-efficient gaming PC, but when it comes to value and bang for your buck, AMD's RX 570 is the clear choice overall.

I have this card and expected more of an upgrade than I got going from a 2gb gtx 1050 non-ti. There is an led where the power connector goes in and it never turns off even when the computer is off. You might be able to disable it, but I haven't found out how yet.
Also, the 3 months of xbox game pass is currently $1 to buy, so it doesn't really add anything..

RX 570 vs 1050 is hugely different in performance. The AMD card is waaaay better. No comparison...
