Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is the better version of one of the best metroidvanias available right now. The game incredible visuals, mixed with a great OST, as well as a finely tuned gameplay and emotional story makes up this a must-play.
The game tells the story of an orphan called Ori, who is on a journey in order to save the forest of Nibel by restoring its balance. From the start, the player will be introduced to this world in a very emotional way and as the game story keeps developing, the game keeps on delivering a beautiful experience.
This deal matches Steam previous historical low, and if you are a Xbox Game Pass PC subscriber it's also available there.

"Purchase the Definitive Edition and receive a free copy of the original game in your library if you don't already own it."
I was a little confused by that and thought there's a prequel game that'll be given for free. But after searching some more, found this [steamcommunity.com].
Should be fine. It's not graphically dense.

I actually hadn't bothered to look at the gameplay of Ori before. Now that I did it's clearly a nice looking platformer with good reviews... almost certainly a game I would enjoy. I checked the price history and the DE has been $4.99 once each month since November. It has been $10 or less for a very long time.
I remember jumping on The Division 2 for $4.99 from Epic Games a while back (still haven't played it of course). Now it's $2.99 everywhere. So I wonder, given my large backlog, should I wait for a cheaper price on Ori... or do games only drop in price AFTER I've bought them. I don't have the answer, but more often than not when it comes to games, I keep waiting due to my backlog. Now I'm waiting for the obligatory troll to tell me nobody cares about my TL;DR rambling thoughts about this game.
