Biggest money grab to date... These have been "free" on the net for like 50 years... 😂
But this one is on the cartridge for the Switch thus an alternative option than playing or downloading this game online, no?

So has every other Switch game since the system was cracked. Your point isn't really relevant to anyone who either a) doesn't know how to set up emulators, b) doesn't feel comfortable pirating "free" games, as you claim, or c) simply wants an easy way to play a classic game on a mobile system like the Switch.

This is a good price for a classic game that I'm sure plenty of people have nostalgia for and don't want to jump through hoops to play.

Also crazy how a game that came out 27 years ago has been on the net for like 50 years.

I do miss the Capcom version of Aladdin, which was the SNES game. That genie level was some great platforming and the music was better than on genesis.

Note to the OP, this collection does not include the Capcom game. As stated in the description:
Aladdin
Genesis Version
Japanese Mega Drive Version
GameBoy Version
Colorized GameBoy Version

They also admitted they added the monkey maze to Lion King in order to make it difficult to beat in a rental, not cause they thought it was good. Overall a mediocre set of games.

FYI for anyone, reviews indicate the SNES version of Aladdin is not actually in this collection.

Fair warning, these do not come with the original game case, the loose cartridge is inside with a foam piece.

With that said, i have the clamshell one, it's an exact replica of a genesis case and is pretty awesome

Lion King on the SNES/Genesis was never good. It's always been a mediocre game. Owned it back in the day, beat it numerous times. Not worth going back to. Genesis Aladdin is fine but this collection is sorely lacking without the SNES version of Aladdin(made by Capcom). Very scummy of Disney making this an incomplete collection because they were penny pinching.

$50 retail for a pair of 30 y/o games? $30 is still significantly over priced. I think the Ducktales Remaster was only 20 at launch and that had a lot of work done to it. It was down to 5 fairly quickly which I think is a fair price for a Nintendo game that has been fully remastered.

For the people pointing out there's a "collector's case" it costs them less than a dollar to make that, that's not worth $25. Just make your own haha.

If you're uncomfortable emulating, ask yourself, who is making the money off re-selling old games with little to no work done to them? It's not the original developers, I promise you. Half the time they make the newer version worse with half-baked ports or literally are just selling a pre-packaged rom/emulator bundle for an inflated price anyway.

Only for collectors. The standard cartridge has gone as low as $15, and the cartridge/digital versions both regularly hit $20 on sale.

So only buy this if you intend to keep it sealed as a collector's item in hopes it increases in price. Otherwise, just get the standard edition, which is $20 right now at Bestbuy, if you absolutely must have it now.

Personally, I would wait for a steeper price cut. It's been as low at $10.49 for PC on GOG, and I still haven't bothered getting it. Most old platformers haven't aged all that well. Still playable, but I'd rather play something more modern.
