The patent polyurethane does not look anything like leather, so can't really be called faux leather, imo. Look at the 3rd picture for the Madden Crakke Patent Oxford Shoes. It almost looks like a vinyl record to me...

You might be surprised how good faux leather looks these days, it's often nicer than the real thing on any shoes under $100.

In for 2 pairs cause I'm guessing on my size. If they are are cheap looking or terrible quality, L&T has free returns. I picked up a couple merino wool sweaters for $21.75 each also - hoping those are nice as well.
