It is for fish but there aren't many fish you can keep in an aquarium that small. The picture shows a gourami, a Cory (non pygmy) and a school of neon tetras - none these should be kept in a tank this small.

This is still a good deal imho, but picture is misleading

Showing up with errors when I try to check out. (403 error) Some pages let me through, but not able to get all the way done checking out for store pick up.

Finally got it to work, should be better than the bowl my son has his gold fish in.

I had this for about a week before returning it. The curvature makes it near impossible to see anything inside once filled with water. The LEDs are very weak and are borderline to even be enough light for very low light plants. It is not glass, it is thin plastic so it will eventually cloud up. At this price it could be useful as a hospital or quarantine for (very) small fish or for some non-fishkeeping project. I would certainly pass on it for use as a display tank.

I've got two of these. They're nice but, looking back, I wish I would have spent the extra 5 bucks on the 5 gallon kits. The 5 gallon kits are only $20.00 right now so I'm gonna grab me one today to replace one of my Enchant models.

I hope this is sarcasm. The general guidance is 1 gallon per 1 inch of fish. So, technically, you could put in 3 fish each shorter than 1 inch. A lot of fish grow longer than a inch, so maybe 3 neon tetras could fit, but neon tetras should be in groups of 6 or more, so it is not idea for them either.

Snails or shrimp might be a better use of this tank. Or it can be used as a hospital tank when you need to treat a fish with chemicals.

My 55 gal is mostly nano fish, other than that, I have 6 sparkling gourami's, a bristlenose pleco and 30+ cherry shrimp. When adding the quantity, I'm well over the 1" per gallon "rule" but it's nowhere near overstocked. The green rasbora's are at the top level, galaxy's and emerald's at the lower levels so they're spread out evenly. Logic goes into stocking a tank. I do have a 3 gallon with 4 cherry shrimp, snails and a Betta, that's my closest to overstocked tank. To many, it is but he lives a great/happy life, he has a big personality.

You can quickly tell who is a fish keeper on this site vs someone who is not. The picture is horribly misleading with showing a species of fish (Gourami) that shold never be kept in something this small. Maybe a few tetras or a beta, but I wouldn't put a beta in anything smaller than a 10g personally.

Yes its a decent deal, but I personally feel they shouldn't make any tanks smaller than 5gal. Plastic tanks are just waiting to get all scratched up.

I'm of the camp that most nanos love to swim. I think it's too small for the majority of nano fish too.

I do actually agree with you but I was trying to be a little less of a fish nazi than I typically am.
