Why? The cpu can only draw 70 watts before it melts, odds are only 55-60% at 100% in most cases. Unless you are putting a video card in it, it will only be using 100-150 watts tops.

The power supply can be swapped, but it may need an adapter for the mother board for like $5. Dell waffles back and forth using atx 24 pin and atx 20 pin on the mother boards.

Looking at the spec on the product page and it says, "Chassis Configuration
3.5" Chassis with up to 3 Hard Drives".

Hmmm Plex Server upgrade. Mine is currently i5-4590 with 3x 4TB R5. This wouldn't be a giant upgrade but it gets me newer gen tech. Can I put in an upgraded Power supply - ATX format?

Yes. The only down side is the server firmware will not let it sleep, and the m2 slot is disabled.

Looking to get a plex server. I have an rpi4, a 2009 iMac, and a 2010 Asus laptop. Are any of those better than getting something like this? Gonna have at most a couple of people streaming. Idk if I need transcoding or not. Would appreciate the help greatly

Upgrade the PSU and slap a gpu upto 1660 super on this and you can game (for those uncomfortable building from ground up). Not too shabby. Did anyone get a better deal?
