LG 55 C9 @ Costco - $869 (EXTREME YMMV - Display Model)

Super YMMV on this one. Costco (Burbank, CA) had a display model at my location for $869.00. It had zero burn-in and they said it was on display for the second-half of November and taken off display mid-January.

The Squaretrade warranty that extended the warranty to 5 years was $69 and taxes were based on the open box price, not the standard price. Came with everything but the box and manuals.

Like everything at Costco, I know this one was super ymmv so apologies to the DA's I set off.

Yeah. Sorry. Been really wanting one for a while and on my third replacement vizio right now :|

I'd check the other stores though. Based on the paper they put it out on Friday last week so the other locations might have it?

"Display only". .00 indicates a manager markdown so this isn't even regional.

Anyone for a display model OLED? laugh out loud

Great deal, however I would really be worried about screen burn-in with display models that have static images running for 18+ hours a day for ? days...

I checked the display in store and here at home with various colors (including grey) and didn't catch any burn-in. I understand that concern completely though. Each time I've ever checked open box at places like BB they've had burn in.

Yup had a buddy who got a "great" deal on a display 60" Panny plasma back in the day. Helped him set it up. Got into the service menu and checked total hrs on. HOLY MOLY. After that I swore to never buy a display model no matter how cheap.

Your store has static images on their displays? Every Costco I've been to including the one I worked at ran 2 hour video loops

Best buys B and C series display panels have burn in even though they run the built in LG demo.

Running it 14 hours a day on a demo loop will have its impact.

Burn in is not too bad...but visible.

My store's videos have a triangle ad in the bottom right corner or every screen that doesn't change. I think its an ad for the extra warranty program.

Thats not a great business strategy if you ask me, ours just used cardboard cutouts next to the price tags.
