Yep, a box of baking soda, squeeze in half a lemon and throw it all in, chase with 2 cups of vinegar... let it bubble and do its thing for a while, then run the disposal clean. Easy. At this price, the Affresh are a little cheaper than doing this, but not sure how effective.

Just 1 lemon is $1 and you can't keep half of it for any length of time so you would have to buy 3 lemons. $3 vs $1.50 is cheaper? Maybe if you use lemons enough to have them handy then sure but I rarely have lemons in my house unless I am making a dish that has them and that's pretty rare.

A dollar for a lemon? Sounds like produce is insanely priced where you live. I've never seen them above 50ยข, and that's when they're out of season (like now.)
