assuming they're similar to the 8TB/10TB, yes--they will likely require the 3.3V pin modification if your motherboard won't recognize the drive.

actually people seem to have pretty good luck with Synology/QNAP devices not needing the 3.3v mod as long as they're relatively newer (for reference as to what "newer" means, the spec that caused the problem was announced back in early 2016, but probably wasn't ubiquitous until a year or so later). the need for the mod in the first place is typically due to older devices not knowing what to do with the "disable" pin the newer SATA specification uses, but dedicated NAS devices seem to have dealt with it pretty early on.
I've shucked one so far with no need to do the 3.3v mod. I think the mod also depends on the motherboard. I'll be shucking two more in the next week.
