This item makes a main claim that is false. It says it is the first high fidelity because it can go from 10hz to 40khz. Well the human ear can only hear from 20hz to 24khz (the same range as a40s). So half the sounds on there only a dog can hear.

Good brand and price though, but just irks me when they cheat on the science like that.
In audiophile world, having a superhuman frequency response means better implementation of the frequency response within your audible range. It's not necessary for you to hear the entire range.

I would still like to demo them for myself and see if I can tell a difference.

One thing to note too, your audio is going to be diminished if you plug it in through a controller, as the signal strength and bit rate will be bounded by bluetooth. Surprised they didn't make a transmitter station if they wanted to output DTS sound. I guess you only get the full experience on pc.

I get what you're getting at here, but the claim is true though (assuming they actually do cover range specified). Just cause you can't hear those ranges doesn't mean the headset doesn't cover those ranges of sound. Similar to all sorts of things. Refresh rates higher than what the eyes can notice. A smoothie with greens in it you can't taste.

Definitely do demo them! I finally found a BestBuy that has a display pair and they were amazing! (Even with the low quality audio source display headphones are usually hooked up to) However, they were out of my budget at the time so I wound up with Arctis 5's which also sound very good! I received this promotional email at the end of last week, contemplated all weekend and decided to bite after finding the additional 12% coupon. Luckily the A5's came from a store that has 90 day returns so they will go back after receipt of the Pro's. I also run the wired Arctis 1's on my Xb1 and those are stellar as well.
The attraction of the DAC is nice so you're not having to open software all the time for different games/music etc along with the better build quality of the headband etc. which I felt fits my head a little better than the 5's.

Well it's not the "first true high definition audio" when you can't hear half the noises. My problem is not that they deliver a high range, but that they try to knock all the other products down by doing so.

If delivering high ranges actually does give you better in range sound (like the person above noted) I could see it being a good feature, but their definition of what "high def" audio is makes it sound like it's going to be HDTV to SDTV. Really it's very subjective if they are even better than what is out there or not.

It would be like a screen maker saying he is delivering the first true high quality image when really it just puts out better contrast.

I can't find any mention of free DAC? It's mentioned in the results for the page on Google but when visiting the site I can't find it mentioned.
