Only problem I've seen with Vizio M or P series is upscaling of 480 or 720 content... So old TV shows and even cable will look pretty bad. I love watching some old shows and had to return the M series I had.
Got this for 1000 during Christmas, and I have been very happy. I've noticed that if I use the native smart apps, it upscales beautifully (I have my Netflix restricted to 720p to save bandwidth). We stream everything, so don't have an issue with the upscaling on other inputs.

The brightness of the TV is phenomenal, and the latest firmware update has greatly improved the native apps.
Yeah I looked further at rtings. What I originally thought was stutter/judder. But they are streaming 4k video at the store, so I don't think that's it.

At rtings there is another category 'flicker free' and this Vizio gets a 4.0. From rtings "Unfortunately, this TV uses PWM to dim the backlight, and there is a 120Hz flicker at all backlight levels other than max. This results in duplications in motion, which might be noticeable in certain content.

Although we initially measured a 960Hz flicker on the Vizio P Series 2018 and Vizio P Series Quantum, which is much less noticeable, we have retested them and found that they also flicker at 120Hz now. We don't know when this change occurred, but it was likely in one of the firmware updates over the past year."

It's noticeable to me and that's a bummer because otherwise it looks like a nice deal.

Thats one problem...which can be revolved by attaching a roku ultra and it do the upscaling for the TV...

The main problem is dirty screen effect and panel uniformity.

Per Rtings. And you dont want it in the center. That is the absolute worse spot. Most TV have it on the side. The middle is killer. I returned a TV just for that issue.

Decent gray uniformity, but the sides of the screen are noticeably darker. There is also noticeable dirty screen effect (DSE) in the center of the screen, which isn't great for watching sports. I

Is that really noticeable compared to say a Sammy q80? We watch a fair amount of older shows too and that would be a deal breaker. I know what rtings says, but the q80 is almost double.

If we cancel Comcast and go to say, YouTube TV. What is their native resolution?

run this video. Do you see any color changes in the clouds (yellow) or bars or panel uniformity issues.

I'm sitting in Costco now and Vizio looks awesome compared to Sammy q7dr. Viewing angle and glare much better. Colors better (pre calibration).

But I can see judder or stutter not sure which during panning shots. Ugh, don't like that?!

I believe some of the judder/stutter issues can be resolved through settings. From Rtings, "If stutter bothers you, the motion interpolation feature can help, by increasing the frame rate of your content." Maybe try that in store to see if it fixes it for you.

Use your Costco Citi card to get the 4 years. Not sure it will show anywhere at checkout.
