Update: New promo code for $10/off per month for first six month w/ promo code PAT20

Venn Mobile [vennmobile.com] is offering $9/off per month for the first six months after code "SAVE9".

They only have one plan, which is unlimited minutes, texts, 4G LTE data, plus a 50GB hot spot. The base price is $30/mo. with no contract. After coupon, the price for the first six months is $21/mo.

*** Note- you cannot port in an existing Sprint number.

The only other fees are a $3.50/mo. regulatory fee (for comparison, Mint charges roughly this, and Visible rolls it into their plan), and a one time $10 fee for a new SIM (these are free with Mint and Visible, I think).

They also sell phones starting at $30 with a plan. A "like new" iPhone 6S is $70, Samsung Galaxy J3 is $30.

Visible is $40/month with unlimited everything on Verizon's network. You can join a "party pay" group and that brings it down to $25/month. You don't have to know anyone with visible to sign up for party pay just start your own group or find one here https://www.reddit.com/r/VisiblePartyPay/

You can tether but only one device at a time.
Was really tempted by the plan, but considering no literature available about the company and the extremely short time period it has been in existence (as per my research), right before putting down the credit card details, I called the customer service hotline. Not the new connection department but the one which is supposed to handle existing issues. Nobody picked up. Phone kept on ringing for 5 minutes before i hung up. Ergo, I will wait.
Went from T-Mobile to Sprint and back to T-Mobile. I run speed tests all the time and I found that Sprint is faster in most places compared to T-Mobile.

I also live in Miami so I have better coverage than smaller cities. YMMV

50gb of hotspot is nice but how much data directly from the device? I would assume just as much.

Very tempting considering Sprint and T-Mobile are merging soon-ish.

Edit: went through the checkout process and it accepted my IMEI from my T-Mobile iPhone.

Looking to switch over from red pocket, does sprint give the same priority to this as they give to their regular customers?

Metro is offering me a free phone to switch, but I'm not too keen on paying the $50 per month for the service, I think this would be perfect for me, seems like the cheapest deal right now alongside mint mobile.
