Newegg[newegg.com] currently has a sale for the Gigabyte AERO 15 4K OLED (SA-7US5020SH) that ends next Wednesday. This is the lowest they have ever priced this model, beating their previous lowest price—$1349.00.
Last time (1/8) for $32.13 more u can have 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD 😂
Yeah the Amazon/Walmart deal was especially solid. Currently typing from one 😊
Still, this is the best deal aside from that outlier and the absolute lowest for the 8GB/256GB. Noticed because I had a Price Alert previously set on Newegg.

Haha thanks for sharing!!! I got one too from that deal!! High five! ✋
Not a good deal. These performance machines should have standard 16gb ram and 512GB ssd at this price these days.
You can readily upgrade the SSD and RAM. I agree the January deal was better, but only marginally (<$50). You can buy another identical 8GB RAM Stick for $35 (or less).
Even 512GB is insufficient and not that great considering you can get 1TB for ~$100 these days. You'd probably want to swap it out either way for a performance machine.
Can anyone help me make sense of putting a 4K display in a 15" panel? I just bought a 28" 4K display for my desktop machine and have to scale things up... I can't see the benefit of this resolution at this screen size. What am I missing?

I was on the same page, but after seeing 4k display on 13in laptop, it's just simply impossible to go back.
If you do lots of readings/typings, you will never be satisfied with FHD after using 4k for months

you missed the deal for the electron microscope screen text reader.🤫
You answered your own question. Why did you buy a 27 inch 4k if you have to scale everything up? Why didn't you get a 1080? For that same reason , a 15inch laptop screen should be 720???
Resolution is the ability to distinguish 2 things apart (pixels) at a certain distance. Higher resolution gives you the ability to use the screen closer to your eyes.
dude your eyes would have to be 2 inches from the screen - that was his point.

Cell phones used to be 720, then 1080, now my Note 10+ is at 3040x1440 on a 6.8 inch screen; we still don't use them 2 inches away. Ppl ask why all day long...It's the same for computers monitors & TV.
My point is don't buy a 4k & scale everything up when you needed/wanted a 1080.
