Best course of treatment is to rotate the use of the various anti-dandruff brands.

This thing makes my hair and scalp feeling super dry but It does the job but should use just 2x a week. I usually rotate this and Nizoral. Now I'm in control of this stubborn dandruff.

Yeah idk wtf is up this year I'm doing horrible man. I've tried using everything at this point. Hs clinical smells bad and I feel like maybe it even flares up more. I switch through it all but basically use h&s regular, offbrands with same ingredients don't seem to work.

The best anti-dandruff shampoo on the market is Nizoral. It's the only shampoo you are going to find at a local store than has an ingredient that actually stops dandruff from occuring. Most other dandruff shampoos simply deal with handling removing the flakes from your scalp. Dandruff is caused by fungus. Nizoral has Ketoconazole in it which is an anti fungal. It's known in hair loss circles as a secret weapon to slow down hairloss too. That includes doctors who recommend it for that purpose. Without writing paragraphs why this is so, the modern literature says that hair loss is due to DHT (a byproduct of testosterone) clinging to the hair follicle and suffocating it. Propecia slows down hair loss by managing DHT. Another aspect to hair loss is inflammation of the scalp. Many people who have hair loss also have problems like itchy scalp, dandruff, etc. Ketoconazole is highly anti-inflammatory. That's why if you've ever used it you will notice your scalp stops itching very quickly. Furthermore it binds to androgen receptors which guess what? Is a producer of DHT. So it tackles dandruff and hair loss from multiple angles. It's a safe method to use, where Propecia actually starts modifying your body's production of testosterone internally and has caused some men to go completely sterile. EEK!

Read what I wrote above. When you use Nizoral let it sit in your hair for 5 minutes before rinsing it out.

Testosterone cream seems a bit excessive as a remedy for dandruff
