Edit. Qwerty beat me to it.
Obviously not a screaming deal by SD standards, but if enough people have been looking for this router long enough, its an FP deal.
Don't forget Amazon is in the tax collection business for every state. It is actually $219 with tax for me and more for other states. That is only 15% off the $258. I would imagine many of the other places selling this router when they have a sale don't charge tax in your state.
It is a real nice router for a router table but not exactly a screaming deal unless you were locked onto this brand and model.

With that said figure out which bits will help the projects you do. Then buy those high quality one at a time. Brands Whiteside, Freud and Amana.
If you don't have a clue what you need then just grab one of the Chinese 6 to 12 bit sets on Ebay or Amazon. The ones by Huhao seem to get a little better reviews. They all come out of the same factories in China. Then once you see which bits you use with frequency get those in a pro bit. Bits range from $3 to $50. What you pay for is the quality of the cut for like fine work or resale etc. Then you pay for longevity but have to be able to sharpen them.
The ones I use are:
Round over, 1/16 to about 3/8.
Chamfer 45°, 30° and 15°
Straight bits, 1/4 to 3/4.
One or two Ogee bits
Any others are once in a blue moon. I dado with my table saw. Go on the woodworking forums and read about beginning routing. Also good stuff on YouTube.
Attached 3-month chart if interested.
edit: downvoting price information on a deal forum... better to compare to the manufacturer suggested retail price if we don't know the normal price of this product?
