Of course like a true SDer, get it on sale (I got it for $129)

Are you using this powerbank to power both? How many hours battery life are you getting? What kind of case/bag are you using to carry everything?

This looks so tempting for the PD 60W, but the size has me concerned, I own a 20k anker and rav already, and this looks bigger. Does anyone own this and how is the size compared to other 20k banks?
Don't have a 20k, but it's way smaller than my Anker 26800 (the 30w PD one). https://imgur.com/a/4iqdkyK

Got this at $34 a few weeks ago. My only complaint is the capacity. I've used it for two trips so far and its died after 2 iphone 11 pro max charges. those should only be 4k mah, or 8k mah total. Even assuming 75% efficiency out of this battery, I'd expect 3-4 charges. Maybe I got a lemon because the amazon reviews are good.
I don't think you got a lemon, I get about the same. Out of my Pixel 2 XL I get about 4, maybe 5 charges (3520 mAh battery) and those aren't full charges either. Nevertheless, it's actually a really good charger. It's small, lightweight super portable and much smaller than any of my other 20,000 mAh batteries. Even if it's not quite as promised, it's still quite good.

Ok I bought this with $34 deal. But I'll be returning it. First of all. I wanted a charger to end all my portable charger needs and this seemed like it Smilie but As soon as I got this I got a lengthy message from seller about details of product / customer support which included saying it wont work with mbp 16. This is not stated on product page. As I have intention to buy mbp 16 so that bummed me out. Second, mine came with a bad / broken usbc cable. Informed seller and they provided a new cable. New cable came but it was 6.6ft (which is useless to carry) and what do you know it doesnt work either. So I let them now and said my powerbank works cable doesnt they said if I didnt like their replacement I can return or replace whole unit.(oc i dont like replacement that doesnt work) Glad Im still in return window. Didnt like CSR experience. Also does work with switch docked mode but doesnt fast charge 2 device at once. It states usb-a supports 5v 3a once usb-c connected but it didnt fast charge my moto z2/ gopro while charging switch/gs10. Also by not supporting mbp 16 Im guessing this isnt upto pd standard. I thought this was a dream charger seeing 60w output but as I dont like to buy things twice its half baked and wont risk compatibility and security of my expensive devices to a picky circuitboard. Was also interested in their external ssds. But guess what they also came with built in malware to firmware which you cant delete. Smilie. I liked ravpower as their car jumpstarter battery saved my bacon recently and wanted to support them more. But they are sketchy so its a hit and miss.

Just an FYI for everyone. Got my power bank and was test charging my HP elitebook laptop from 10%. Only charged it to around 80% and it's entirely drained. Was curious why that was and did some light reading on power ratings and what mAh really means. So basically to sum up, the 20k mAh rating is basically rated at charging at 3.7v which NO charger charges at nowadays. So if your cellphone charges at 5v then the true mAh is only 20k / 5 * 3.7, which is only 14800 mAh. However, if you are charging your laptop at 20v, which is what my HP takes via the USB port, the true mAh rating is only 20k / 20 * 3.7, which is only 3700 mAh. That's why the battery was not even able to charge my laptop to full on a single charge. Unfortunately, this is how all batteries mAh ratings work. In fact, on the battery, it even says for 20v charging, the capacity is only 2700 mAh! There is some more power loss during conversion between the nominal 3700 mAh and the power going into your laptop.

I bought this one for $1 more than the price that I posted at (wish I got it when it was $34) but this one is a 60w PD powerbank whereas the Anker is 18w-45w depending on which one you get.. if you want to power a laptop that requires 60w pd then this one will be good, if you are just looking to charge a phone, a lower PD wattage should be fine..

I got the ZMI, this one and the Anker 26800 and this one is a good size.. I'm still testing them though..

Does it have trickle charging capabilities?

The Powerbank powers "both" -- however it is one USB-C cable from the Powerbank to the USB-C monitor, then there is a USB-C cable that goes from the monitor to the Switch (to power that), so the power is "daisy-chained" from the Powerbank -> monitor -> Switch

I've played at least a good 2 hrs but I expect it to last around 3.

I have a separate case for the Switch (the cheap $7 one from Best Buy). I just put everything in my backpack.

So the switch can output to the monitor while being charged from the monitor at the same time through USB-C? Are you using the cable supplied with this powerbank? If this is the case I'm going to look into purchasing the screen you linked to. My whole setup included powering the dock and I was looking up alternative docks for portability. Thanks for the advice the specs for proper cables is pretty daunting.

Yes! That's primarily the reason why I purchased it. Most of the other USB-C monitors expect you to use the HDMI input -- meaning you have to then use a USB-C to HDMI/Powered adapter such as https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Ch...B081RDJ3QP)

But this USB-C monitor has the ability to output video over USB-C and provide USB-PD power (and compatible with Switch in Dock Mode). So in the end you will need only 2 USB-C cables for the setup.

The only cable that matters is the cable that goes from the USB-C monitor to the Switch. It has to be a USB 3.1 Gen 1/2 cable, not the cheap USB-C 480mbps. The monitor comes with one of these.

You can power the USB-C monitor to the Powerbank with any cheap USB-C cable.

The monitor comes with one of the good usb C cables? By 1/2 do you mean 1 OR 2? I get free USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 5A cables from work. Will this be enough? Thank you so much!

So my set up would be:
Ravpower power bank -> usb C (included with powerbank) -> monitor you linked on amazon -> usb C 3.1 gen 1 5A -> my switch tablet

Approved? I owe you one!

Thanks for the info, this sounds like a fun package to put together! I know this is kind of dumb because the case is pretty bulky, but I am having fun putting this together, and I figure it will be a pretty versatile and robust kit and I will have everything I need to support up to 4 players (I think).

Assuming that the "14.3 x 9 x 0.6 in" dimensions I pulled from Amazon for this USB-C monitor are correct (I have not yet ordered the monitor, so this is my only data source), then this Pelican 1450 should be perfect to have the monitor mounted in the top of the lid, so that it can be a monitor stand as well as a case to store/carry it. I can just flip the monitor screen up when storing and place a thin piece of high density foam between the monitor and all of the switch stuff to keep everything safe. Here is about what I am looking at:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009XVL7, where all of the interior dimensions sound perfect! I figure I should be able to get one for $60-$70 with some shopping around, I almost always can find Pelicans for about half of MSRP with patience, and I love these things... so well made.

I should have room for the switch, a couple of pro controllers, a travel dock (I ordered a Jumpgate from this site: "https://skullnco.com/products/jumpgate-for-nintendo-switch"; on its way from China now; from my research on reddit, etc. it is one of the only safe replacement docks available and has full dock functionality), an OEM Nintendo power adapter ($25 shipped direct from Nintendo for a refurb, or $25 shipped from BestBuy OpenBox, for sure authentic from these two sources and in my case I got a brand new sealed one from BB openbox, so yay!), a couple of sets of joy cons, a couple of other widgets and a couple of these power banks.

Alternatively, I have this smaller case showing up tomorrow that I picked up from Amazon Warehouse for $33, where it is just big enough for the switch in the Skull Gripcase (one of which I already have and love!), this power bank in the bottom compartment (not sure what else will fit, will see tomorrow), some carts, a couple of cables, and maybe one or two more widgets: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B078WHLQ77/.

I got this battery bank in yesterday, and have been testing it since. I am using the USB-C fast charger that came with my Note 9 and it is SLOOOW. I am estimating 8 hrs to charge from 0% to 100%? Hopefully I can get a better/faster AC adapter to charge this thing faster? I have research to do to figure that out.

I charged this bank to 100% over night last night, and then I used my laptop on battery (a Dell Precision 5530 with the 97WHr battery) until the battery was at 2%. I then plugged in this power bank and continued working. I got the "low charging rate" notification, but it didn't say at what rate it was charging and I haven't spent the time to figure out how to tell. I do know that the AC charger that came with the laptop is 130W, so even if this power bank was providing power at 60W, it would be considered "low" by the laptop so no big deal. I need to get a voltage/current USB-C monitor to be able to tell what voltage it is operating at I guess so that I can calculate the expected efficiency as described above.

My laptop charged to 27%, so a net of 25% or ~24WHr. Note that I was also working at the same time, and it is a 4K UHD screen and a "Intel Core i7-8850H (Six Core 2.60GHz, 4.30GHz Turbo, 9MB 45 W)" and I was doing pretty heavy work for the couple of hours I was on the battery bank, which I guesstimate is another 20WHr or so? So, I guess that this bank performed pretty well? I figure running from this battery bank alone I can get 4-5 hr on my laptop? I need to do a few more tests to know for sure (charge the laptop from 0% while it is off, pay more attention to how long I am running the laptop next time, check the charging type/rate, etc.), but I am pretty happy with the performance of this thing for the $$!

I also want to do some testing with the Switch by itself, then with the switch docked (so running the CPU twice as fast) along with the USB-C monitor and see how this bank does. If it does as well as I am hoping, I am thinking this thing is a sweet deal and will pick up a few more when at this price... unless something better comes along of course.

Also, regarding the size, I agree that this thing is quite small and light relative to the capacity compared to all of my other power banks (mostly Anker and a few Aukey and off brand, pretty much all from SD posts over the last few years). Assuming that it has somewhere close to the advertised capacity and that it lasts for at least a year or two... pretty impressive given how small/light it is.

Yes it comes with a good USB cable (and I meant USB 3.1 Gen 1 or Gen 2). I use that cable to connect it from the USB-C monitor to the Switch. The Powerbank to the USB-C monitor can be any cable. The USB 3.1 5A cables you get from work should also work as well, but I would test it to make sure it can also be the cable that connects from the USB-C monitor to the Switch.

I would reverse the 2 USB cables but I'm sure they'll work with both setups. Enjoy!

That Pelican is definitely great for the setup, and should serve you well! You can remove the monitor from the case, of course. There are 2 thumb screws behind that attach it and you can just unscrew it.

Purchased on sale for $9. You can pair it either with this Powerbank (of course), or you can get a 45W/60W USB-PD wall charger, such as this $10 one:

The Samsung Note 9 ships with an AFC (read: QC 2.0) fast charger. The Powerbank only supports USB-PD. Instead of the 30W input (should charge the powerbank in 2-3 hrs), you are actually only charging it at probably 7-10W (so anywhere between 8-10 hours on a full charge with the Note charger).

Note (heh) that the Samsung S8/S9/S10/S20 and Note 8/9/10 all support QC 3.0 **and** USB-PD.

At this point in time, I would *not* recommend purchasing QC 3.0 chargers for Samsungs, as you can get much more utility purchasing USB-PD chargers for Samsungs instead.

I have a USB-C voltage meter and have confirmed that it will output close to 20V/3A.

of course it would be difficult to gauge your charging when you're actively running against the current (aka using the laptop while charging).

The battery pack itself is 74Wh, but assume there are conversion losses and you'll never get the full 100% charge. I'd expect you to utilize maybe 50-55-60Wh out of the full 74Wh.

The right test would have been for you to let the laptop discharge to 2%, then let the Powerbank completely drain into the laptop without turning it on. I assume you would have hit 50% battery at that point.

Something better's always around the corner Wink if anything, the one *single* gripe I have about it is... the HDMI port is mini-HDMI (not full size), so you will always have to carry around a mini-HDMI->HDMI adapter. If you use it exclusively for the Switch, you won't have to worry about it of course since you won't be using the mini-HDMI port but the USB-C (video+charge) port.

I may consider 'upgrading' (replacing) this monitor to a touchscreen version, but that would only be for Windows/Android use (Switch or Mac won't do touchscreen anyway)

Thanks for the reply, I tried to rep again but SD won't let me :/.

I just ordered 2 of those 60W $10 USB-C PD AC Adapters that you linked, which is indeed perfect to pair with this power bank. It is half the price of the cheapest it has ever been according to camelx3 (normal range $20-$35), and way cheaper than any other charger I could find that supports this high of a power output along with QC 2.0(there seem to be millions on Amazon, tons with fake reviews, hard to sort through them). I have paid more just for a USB-C to USB-C cable not long ago (which this charger comes with... sweet!). It will also work for all kinds of other stuff that I have, so thanks! I am almost thinking that something is wrong with it, too good to be true and all of that. I think this charger is an FP worthy SD if it isn't a piece of crap Big Grin.

I don't NEED that full function dock, but I like the versatility I get, eg if I want to hook up to a bigger TV or whatever I have a full featured dock with me, if I need multiple USB ports for controllers, etc. I also just want a second dock so I don't have to deal with unhooking my main dock, and it is too damn big lol.

I agree that I believe I got about 50WHr into my laptop from this bank, so the numbers work out. I will the test you mention and see how it does.

Finally, I was actually looking at other monitors because why not, starting with the Asus to see what Asus has, and will go from there, there are LOTS of these out there too. All of these clones, etc. on Amazon makes shopping for stuff like this a real PITA... first world problems Smilie: https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/...-Products/. Finding models that support the PD and display traffic over USB-C for the Switch will help filter to only a few models I figure which should make things easier.

In addition to a touchscreen, a monitor with a built in battery would be nice too, even more juice for on the go.
