For those of you with an iPad Pro 11, it will be a very snug fit without a case, doable but kinda terrible. With a case I doubt if you can get it in at all.
And I believe that's the major reason the 2nd gen is slightly larger at 6L which fits my iPad Pro perfectly. Also that helps to fit small mirrorless primes. I can divide the bag into 3 compartments and stack 4 primes in 2 of them, I use Fuji system, think about the 23/35/56mm ones. BTW the PD dividers are WINNERS, well designed!

I really can't recommend the 1st gen at this price as PD retails at all major outdoor stores who run 20% deals quite often. For $20 more vs an open box older bag it totally justifies itself.

While this is a still good sling bag, anyone considering should note that it is the original version. There is now a V2 version out released in late 2019.

Yes, but the V2 comes in 3L, 6L & 10L & this V1 is the happy medium at 5L. Plus it's still got a lifetime warranty.

A fanny pack by any other name...lol
If you decide to wear it like that? It's definitely not meant to be. It's a shoulder bag.

Anyone seen a good comparison of this and the v2? Don't trust a lot of reviewers. Hard to tell who is sponsored sometimes.

I've watched some on YouTube - if you watch a few you get the gist that they have addressed many of the shortcomings of the first gen bags. That said, it's evolutionary not a wholesale redesign.

Lol. The lady doth protest too much! Just accept it. These are repurposed fanny packs. Period. No big deal, right? Just stop the denial. Haha.

You seem to really be into fannies

I love wearing my fanny pack, don't care what others think lol. I was thinking about getting this in replace of said fanny pack, but it's a little too big for what I need. I do have the Peak Design backpack and that thing is amazing. Good find, I'll be sharing this with others.

I'd say just go with size. If 5L is good for you then get this. Peak makes pretty damn nice stuff and its not like they half assed the v1. Also, the 5L isn't quite a v1 since the 10L sling was the first. Which I owned and used for a while till I felt I needed more space and ended up getting a peak 13 messenger on sale. I got the v1 on sale and went through the whole "should I wait for a v2 sale" thing but it's just not that big a deal. I'm happy I got it, it's a great bag.

I had the 10L Sling and sold it and just use my 20L Everyday Backpack because the sling didn't make much sense at that size, however to me as a 5L like this it does, small enough to carry stuff like a small camera and whatnot and not be too big or too obvious. Also my personal opinion their V2 stuff is not an upgrade, I think the V1 stuff if better.
