FYI that I bought tickets in a similar deal recently. What I didn't realize is that it was even cheaper to fly into London but back out of Paris. Since I wanted to visit Paris on the trip, I wish I had checked that before booking. If you want a combined trip, check out a return from France.
Death rate is 2% compare that to .1 for the flu, which is 20 times more deadly.

To be fair, people are dying from lawnmowers, ice skates and constipation as well. Yes, we should take it seriously, but it's arguably still less deadly than the flu.

This is misleading. In actuality, "the size of the outbreak matters as much as the lethality in terms of how deadly a disease is."

Don't pretend like this virus isn't going to be just as ubiquitous as the flu very soon. Therefore, you can throw the "size of the outbreak" argument out the window. I think at this point there may be too little data to accurately estimate how lethal this virus is. But why expose yourself to undue risk until things settle down? That doesn't seem wise to me.
