It has MHL support, so likely works with Android but iPhone is likely not going to work
My only complaint is that the fan has gotten louder after a few years of use, but I can't hear it at all over the surround sound when watching movies. I only notice when I'm using it as a secondary monitor for my laptop and it's quiet.
When I bought my house (20 years ago) I wanted the front room for a pool table and a projector.... she said "Sure!". 20 years later... front room is filled with junk like a yard sale and I have no projector or pool table. And when I bring it up... nothing good happens.

And you can't just look at the price, you get way better and more features projector at the same price than years ago. This is universal true for any tech products.
Plan ahead.
Get everything you want before get married
Replacing them is easier than buying as new, as she can't see the benefit when it hasn't been there.

R u kidding??!! Today's $500 projectors r better than $2000 projectors 20 yrs ago. Just about anyone with a decent income can afford a great front projection experience today. Even those $150-$200 led bulb projectors all over amazon are decent enough for 90% of ppl.
But my DLP will smoke the Epson in contrast ratios and motion blur. To get the same contrast levels of DLP, you have to spend more on a high end Epson LCD and not these home models. Epson uses Iris to control contast levels which has it issues in terms of clicking sounds.
. The Epson home cinema series are for people looking for lots of lumens, not strong black levels.
The Epson 2150 will be even worse. You will have to step up to at least the Epson 5040 for acceptable black levels. Anything beneath the 5040ub will have weak black levels.
And take this from someone who loves the home cinema series for their high lumens and eye popping colors.
I would buy an DLP over LCD. That is because I have very good experiences with DLPs. However, either one will do for what you need. You also think ahead when buying an item like this. Plan for what you might use it in the future. Not just for what you need or want at the moment.

- Draw less power
- Throw less heat
- No color filter wheel = No "rainbow effect"
- Slightly quieter Seemingly sharper image on data
DLP Projectors: Strengths
- Smoother video
- Smaller box
- Pixels far less visible, (although normally not an issue for business use)
- More "filmlike" on DVD and HDTV
- Generate "blacker" blacks - Higher contrast
LCD Projectors: Disadvantages
- More visible pixels
- Some screen door effect on certain video images
- Physically larger - Even for the same number of lumens
- Poorer contrast
- Blacks come out lighter gray than DLP projectors
DLP Projectors: Disadvantages
- Rainbow effect bothers some
- More moving parts (color filter wheel)
- Color filter wheel often produces soft but audible whine
- Poorer reds and yellows at full power
- Color saturation

Other reason they hold their values is because you can get a 100"+ screen for way cheaper and with similar quality to a high end TV.
