Just curious, I have the 65" LG OLED. What makes this $500 better?

Not $500 better but IMO, Sony processing and Android TV are superior.

Sony stands by their product and will continue to provide the updates needed to keep the equipment up to date. LG will stop supporting it after a year or so, and focus on their next big thing.

Sony uses LG boards. It's really if you prefer Android over LGs OS.

The LG E9 65" is only $100 + tax Illinois ($1,999) cheaper than this .

Is this the latest model? Or what year is this?
Thank you.

Better processor, sure. But I'd argue that Web OS is vastly superior to the Android OS on these TVs.

I have a 2016 LG model just received an update yesterday i ignore updates never installed them. but this tv may have had updates installed in the past

the only thing i don't like about my model - upscale of standard definition resolution has like blocks or squares or something...visible whey three five feet away from TV.. I am assuming that's what Sony may be better at?

Funny, my 2016 OLED TVs just got an update yesterday.

I call BS on this -- Sony has a poor track record on Android and Android ain't stable for TV. I'd go for any non-Android TV anyday, far superior.
