If you're a diehard about EMR versus AES based digitizers, then this is probably worth it to you.

If you're not, then I'd recommend looking at XPPen, Huion, or basically anyone else other than Wacom making drawing tablet displays, particularly in this size range (10-15"). Your money will go so much farther for the same price (better color gamut, equal or better pen resolution, still have tilt, often a larger screen, for a similar price), and will get you things like physical buttons that Wacom left off the One... not because of cost, but because putting them on would have potentially cannibalized sales of more premium Cintiq line Wacom tablets.

For that matter, XPPen and Huion both have drawing tablet displays for this price or less, with laminated displays, that are larger: https://www.amazon.com/XP-PEN-Art...07M5X7MH1/ and https://www.amazon.com/HUION-KAMV...B07S7BCTWW (Huion's is even cheaper than this right now, with the coupon on its page). I haven't tried either and can't make personal recommendations for them, but googling reviews seems positive so far.

Or get a used Microsoft Surface Pro from among the past couple models (pretty much anything after a Surface Pro 4 should be solid enough) if you want an actually portable, fully self contained drawing tablet.

$50 off MSRP, from reviews it's a good tablet for the price if you insist on Wacom.

It isn't a 'bonded display' so there is more distance between the pen and the screen than your more expensive Cintiq Pro models.

Solid price ihmo, this has some good reviews surrounding it. This uses slightly different tech under the hood, it's using its wacom tablet tech vs straight up cintiq tech. That being said if your getting your first screen tablet or just on a budget you probably won't be able to tell the difference, again solid reviews on this

I was just shopping for a drawing tablet. Whats the best somewhat cheap one for a 100% beginner? Maybe $100 or less range

[EDIT: or maybe not, both of the other tablets I linked below are actually EMR displays with battery-free pens, it looks like. Reminder that wacom's patent ran out!]

I always wanted one of these back in 2012-2015, then tablets with decent pen ability came along.

Google "best drawing tablet for 100$" should give you a pretty good idea
I purchased a huion tablet, which is a chinese knockoff and it works well.

I got the Huion Inspiroy H1060P model for about $80. The pen doesn't require a battery and I use the Krita program to draw.

Works great for a beginner e-artist like me. Still feels weird compared to pen/pencil/charcoal, watercolor pencils, but the undo and edit functions of electronic art is a great time saver.

I've used Wacom, huion, and xppen. I currently have the 16.5" xppen, is pretty amazing for not much more than this, but you have what I think is a better platform, based on price to performance.

I'm not sure I understand this product. Is it the tablet and screen side, that has to be plugged in to a computer (or tablet) with the computer running the paint software? or is it a tablet with a good stylus? both?

Its a screen that connects to a computer so that you can paint and draw digitally. Its only purpose is for digital art.
Looking at the specs and its a good price. Wish this was out last year before I got the Cintiq 16. Could have saved some cash.

How does this compare to like a $300 drawing tablet from GAOMON on amazon?
