Not a good value. Slow and bad screen resolution, for the same price that you could have gotten a magnesium-based Motile a few weeks back, which would be several times faster.

Is this worse than the c330? Wife got that for Christmas and it's been great so far. Maybe we're just "light" users?

Interesting, thanks. I thought as far as Chromebooks go this was pretty good value for the price but I'm not very educated on Chromebooks/laptops. The C330 (last years model) went frontpage for $179 a month ago so considering this years model (c340)apparently has better processor, etc and only $20 more I assumed it was a good deal and purchased it.

Guess I was wrong.

O well, screen looks great to me and I love it so far so we'll see. I'm a very light user (no games, etc) so maybe I won't notice a difference

No, this is just this years model of the C330 I believe, which most people on SD were complimentary of.

I love it so far too

720P IPS screen should be just fine for the casual user and the N4000 is really zippy in a Chromebook with an Octane score around 16,000. Price seems really good for a well built touch-screen 2 in 1. I don't need a 2 in 1 or touch-screens on my Chromers so I get away with the cheaper models.

Good price for an decent budget chromebook. Better than the c330 that everyone was buying a few months ago. At this price the IPS screen is very good. Price is $199 by the way but open box excellent is $166.99

The motile was a good buy but a windows machine which is totally different. If you are looking for a cheap chromebook this is a good place to start.

How is the screen resolution? Using for nothing but Netflix/ Hulu. Bought one chrome book and the screen is horrible, have to have it at a certain angle to be able to see the picture . Don't want to have that problem again

This screen is not much better for your particular uses. Probably wait around for a deal on a 1080 Chromer or get a tablet with a great screen.
