Product Name: | Metabo HPT 10-in 15-Amp Single Bevel Compound Miter Saw |
Product Description: | The Hitachi C10FCG 15 Amp 10 In. compound miter saw is ideal for trim carpenters, framers, and woodworkers who demand precision, reliability and versatility on the job. The 15 amp motor generates a no-load speed of up to 5,000 RPM for making crosscuts and miters with ease, even on the toughest cutting jobs. The C10FCG is lighter than its predecessor (model C10FCE2) weighing just 24.2 lbs. for easier transport. It’s the lightest 10 In. compound miter saw in its class to date. It has a large table with a vice clamping system to hold your workpiece safely in place. The thumb-actuated positive miter stops allow for simple miter adjustments. The bevel has a range of 45-degrees to the left to provide clean and accurate bevel cuts. The C10FCG has a large extended flip fence which rises to 4 In. to allow for accurate cutting of large workpieces. To keep your work space clean and safe, a dust collector attachment is included. It is covered by Hitachi's 5-year warranty. |

(And yes, a little larger and a little heavier)

Not sure you need the accuracy of a miter saw to cut laminate since the cuts are well hidden by the trim. If someone does have wider laminate boards than this saw can cut, they could always just flip them to finish the cuts. Personally, having done over a dozen laminate floors, I typically just grab my little battery powered circular saw - it does a great job on crosscuts, notching, and ripping down those last pieces along the far wall.

True, nothing beats cordless. Not sure why I never used it for laminate floors and always used the slider. Thanks for the tip. Might save me a lot of walking upstairs and downstairs for my next job.

Everything else works as any other saw, nothing remarkable there, but it's a saw, it cuts wood.
Complete details attached.
I have this saw and it folds down into a very small footprint. Sliders take much more room behind the saw.
