Just a PSA, QLED is NOT a variant of OLED. "QLED" is an improvement over backlit LCD panels, where an additional film of "quantum dots" enhances the color and contrast, as opposed to an "OLED", where there is no backlight, and every pixel makes its own light.

That being said, they are remarkably similar in color accuracy, the differences being almost imperceptible. Of course, OLED's contrast and related parameters blows everything else (including your budget) out of the water, so if you don't have ˜2k to drop on a 65 inch TV, then this is a pretty good deal
Seriously?

The 55" version was on sale for the 2019 black friday and holidays time. I bought it for $999.
And now the 65" version is $50 cheaper?

Dammmmnnnn.

I can't find input lag info for this TV. I think this is partially because Samsung, along with pretty much all the other TV brands, use asinine model numbers that make it hard to search for. Does anyone happen to know where I can find the input lag info?

This Tv supports Freesync so will be pretty low for all consoles & amd pc's. Rtings has input lag info toward bottom of this review. My friend has this TV it's got a pretty sick picture & gaming is Best you will find if u console game or have a AMD gpu PC. I picked up a Hisense H9F same time he got his TV and for gaming his is better but I'm sold on Dolby Vision picture quality on the Hisense to where if I get something better it will have to have it. Every movie I've seen on both TVs always looks better on mine if it utilizes Dolby Vision even Alita Battle Angel & Godzilla which utilizes both HDR10+ & Dolby Vision. His is this size & mine is 55" so not sure if that is reason or not.

Two quick questions:

Does anyone know if this TV will passthrough both DD and DTS via optical? I know most TVs will through ARC or eARC (for Atmost, DTS:X) etc.

Also, how does this TV compare to a Hisense H8F or a TCL R615 for watching movies in a light-controlled room? I have heard good things about Dolby Vision (including the post above by Magowin). I may do some console and/or PC gaming on it from time-to-time, but mostly for movies when I can't view in my HT with a projector.

Was trying to keep price down to around $500 - $600, but this *seems* like a really good deal.

EDIT: Just found the tools on Rtings.com, sorry. Looks like overall the Q70 would be better, but twice the price too. Hmmmm
