It looks like AT&T may be starting a new promotion for the start of the month. I just went to my account to see what is offered since my 100mbps fiber plan is about up. Only 100mbps($45/mo) and 1000mbps($39.99/mo) is offered, no 300mbps is offered, but it was available a day ago for $40, and I saw an ad for it on TV today. If you have AT&T internet, check the plans offered in your account dashboard. There is no mention of equipment charges, but this is for a bundle. Southern states.

I had 300 for $50 and I upgraded to this deal for $49.99, I got the email stating my service has been processed. I rebooted the modem/router and now my speeds dropped to 200mbps per second on a bandwidth speed test. Before the reboot I was getting 300 on the same speed test. WTH?

My part of Dallas has Comcast which is good service but expensive. I'm grandfathered at 60Mbps at $50 and any change will cost at least $70 a month. AT&T is 10Mbps DSL and it is $50 right out of 1999.

How long did the account change processing take? I've received a confirmation email that stated my order was being processed and then nothing.

Correction, there are small pockets that have fiber. Generally the newer areas. I live in an area of Arlington that was built in 2008 and have the option of Charter with packet loss (up to 400/20) or ATT with a max of 50/10. Technically two providers but both suck for different reasons.

I was previously on a 100mb fiber plan. Switched to this 1gb plan last night. Was processed this morning and now speeds to my modem show 1000mb up/down. Looks like I'm getting around 300mb to connected wifi devices, but that's another story...

Yes for me as I have more stable video streaming and quicker downloading speed (reaching 30Mbps whereas it was about 7-10Mbps with 300Mbps plan). I have less buffering watching video apps on my Shield TV while my wife was watching video on her tablet, and surfing the web on her phone.

Same here. Didn't see any difference between before and after. I ran the wifi speedtest on my ipad. It's showing 200ish mbps. Have you tried to contact ATT?
